I has the slim ps2, been fine for me and I like the more compactness and light weight. I actually had a lot more trouble with the bigger ones. I had 2 biggers ones and both died.

Touch wood, my big one's been alright, but I did hear (for the UK releases anyway) that a lot of the early releases had to be recalled.

That's good. I ha a lot of problems with the disc part coming out. It always got stuck @_@

Ah, The only problem I have with the disc part is that everytime I open it, a cat gets stuck to it... ^^;
