wow, okay, anyway... hope this isn't a bad time to continue the discussion, but...
In CC/GF I'd say Irvine, Van (mature version), and Herman. Irvine for his tough guy but really good guy, Van just b/c, and Herman b/c of his millitaryness (if that's even a word)
In NCZ I'd say Jack Sisco, Leon, and Naomi. Jack because he's got a risky flair (Both Jack and Irvine...I guess I like saix pilots), Leon for much of the same reasons I like Van; he kind of reminded me of him, and Naomi's kick a**, I can take care of myself attitude.
Fuzors, I didn't really watch
For Genesis I liked Kotona and Zairin. Kotona b/c I like her zoid which is a rare flying type and her I know I'm hot but hands off attitude to the guys. Zairin b/c he reminds me of a troubled Nazi officer who realizes his government party isn't good but wants to glorify his country b/c it's all he has. And I liked the whole I'm your enemy, switches to I'm your alley

I passed on Irvine as a fave, since every friend I seem to show Zoids CC/GF falls in love with him. So far the three I've shown pretty much the entire show to threw themselves at him. He kinda got knocked off my list, but he's still cool.
And I know character development is lame, but after taking two AP english courses and a college writing class that focused on only character development and change, I find myself drawn to more dynamic characters. Just my take on the whole dynamic vs. generic. I believe Zoids has many dynamic characters, save for the few who really weren't and it doesn't mean I dislike them.

I like Irvine. Not really sure he's a 'fav', but heck, I named my cat after him. XD (Ah, Irvine must be so proud knowing he's got a sensitive chicken-cat named after him. XD)
I'm always a sucker for enemies gone allies. XD I liked Zairin before because of his steely blue eyes (lame reason, I know), but once he pulled that move, I was like, booyah!

I forgot to add Irvine to my list. Shameful. I love the relationship he has with Dr D; Irvine and Dr D scenes always make me smile.
On NC:0 characters.. I wish you got to see more of the more minor characters, would've loved to know more about Jack Sisco, Naomi (I mean what happened to those girls she was with?) and I would ESPECIALLY like to know more about some of the dudes in Backdraft. Although the same can be said about some of the Genesis characters, CC didn't always give you much of a backstory, but there was enough, with Genesis it either gives you a lot or a little and when it gave me a little bit of back story I was hungry for more!
