YES I actually remembered the name of the original zoid whose colour scheme inspired that of my Schneider!  Teaser... Need to be done: * Paint the shoulder/hip armour.* Paint the remaining -5- 1 blades.* Sharpie my spare LZX buttcap. (FIND FIRST durp)* Figure out what to do for the missing mane piece. * Find the vanished tailpiece and paint it.* Carve at the top blade holder until the hatch closes.* Clear topcoat - on the grey and blades. |

Okay so I have spent the last week trying to find Schnieder's missing tailpiece, right?
Couldn't find it, looking up and down and all around.
it was FOUR INCHES to the left of my computer, sitting out in the open, nothing over it, RIGHT. THERE.

Hello, Sturm Tyrann!
I love that blackred sparkle texture. Too bad it's enamel, I would so get that for something if it were acrylic. I wonder if it'd work better with metal flake on the blades too, or at least a high-gloss clearcoat to lose the odd satin blade/gloss tip contrast? Same with the grey bits. The liger itself probably doesn't need a clearcoat, I actually like it being the regular satin black in contrast.

Hrm, I can't remember if I ever took a flash pic of Tyrann directly. I rarely use flash, and usually my camera swings too far into the washed out/bluewhite look when I do. Maybe your camera was trying to compensate for the flash messing with color and had a weird color moment?

 Me likey! XD I love the red tipped blades and the sparkly black-red color! I have to admit you use the most unique materials when painting zoids. You used nail polish correct? Anyways, lovey zoid, he or she will strike fear in the hearts of many! XD And nice Sturm Tyrann! I broke down myself and am currently on the look out for a Fuhrer. They've become rather elusive in the past few months, at least for a decent price! |

Thanks Kitsune! X3 I call it a he, but then again most of my stuff is he. Oddly enough, my first Berserk Fury is a she. Namely because Eris just fit. XD
Yup! Nail polish and sharpies and microns. X3 Sharpie was the basecoat and microns got in the grooves. (I used a micron on the tail just because they had a richer red than the sharpie alone.) I tend to use whatever's on hand. I need to get back to the Diplo-Roy custom... I stopped because I got irritated having to use so much fingernail polish (hey, don't blame me, there was a three pack nail polish at Dollar Tree that had the three colours I wanted for the Diplo-Roy custom).
(You should see my "restored" shield liger. I call him patches because he's got pieces from a blue blade liger, the red blade liger, and Liger Zero and Liger Zero X. XD)

OMG DEATHYTAILYOU'RESOLUCKY XD; lolz! I mostly use spray paints and acrylic, but I'm getting an airbrush kit soon for a class I'm taking in the future. MWA HA HA! I probably couldn't use nail polish (indoors at least) heck I can't even remember the last time I even used nail polish >_>; |
