@ Shadowblade - Oooh, airbrush! That'll be kewl! o.o and yours always turn out so well. XD (I wonder if materials have anything to do with that. *peers at roughly textured nail polish*) Yeah I usually spray paint the base colors so it's all nice and smooth, then go back and hand paint the details with acrylics.

I have terrible luck with spray, but yeah, "proper" paint will give a more even finish...though I've seen stuff done with craft acrylic too. The main things I look for are does it bond well to plastic, and can I apply it in thin, even coats. Nailpolish seems to be designed for one or two thick coats, which makes it trickier to use, I suspect.

Hmm... *looks over nail polish customs* I can't use Gijgeju as an example, because he has sections of paint that are meant to stand out and look like bloody wounds... So he's out. Diplo-Roy is still WIP, so he's out. Coldscar... he's my either first or second custom, and as a custom, I'm not pleased with him. The 'smoke' paint (the blue-grey that takes over the grey and doesn't look different) is a bit lumpy... The sparkle-coat is chipped and sand-papery to the touch... The blue section is actually two, a blue paint and the sparkle paint, so it's thick and thus the missle pods don't like to open very well. Fivebrand turned out okay, though. I think he's ... Hmm... I dunno, he's really close to the top of my favourite custom list. His fans are a little lumpy, but I was having a hard time getting a coat on before it dried, so that's why... His hand-claws have two coats of nail polish, and the rest of him has three or four. One coat is a clear coat because as this picture shows, the original coats either attracted dust or produced mold. (Half cleaned to show the contrast.) And finally, Phantom's black/red is slightly sandpapery (I blame the sparkleys) and the bloodtips look a tad wavy, especially towards the tips where the sides mix. In short, fingernail polish isn't for someone who wants a "professional looking" model. But still rather nifty for the thrifty. XD

My other personal trouble is enamel makes me sick, even if I have good ventillation D:. It makes me sad I can't experiment with mad sparkley colors!
...I wonder if you could thin nailpolish with the thinner you get for enamel model paints now.

I do all my spraying either outside on some newspapers or in the spray paint area in the school since they both have good ventilation. I've found FolkArt brand acrylic craft paint to be very good to use and is very cheap at a Walmart. My Hayate Liger is 100% hand painted with the burgundy color being that folkart brand paint. I've never had a problem with it not sticking to plastic either :3

Going to use this to add links to the customs put on the Weebly site: ColdScar my first custom. Fivebrand my favourite repaint. Mainly for sentimental reasons. Amaterasu where I first used sharpies and loved the effect.

Sharpies seemed to work quite well on that Konig! I really like the design of your site, the dark colors and that Deathy pic just look epic.

Yes I do trust dA, I have a user on it XD The game is brilliant, you really should try it! It's a funny game too. I don't recommend you get it for the Wii, though. It's not meant to have very good gameplay! Better just to get it for the PS2 ;D
Edit: Are you Proitzen by any chance? XD

I bought the wii version when my PS2 died and sold the PS2 version to a friend. The wii version is a pain in the neck at times, drawing stuff can be difficult (sometimes the brush just starts doing loop-de-loops on me) and only one of the weapons is any good in battles. I'd say that wii okami is a lot more challenging, but honestly, if you want a fun game to play then go for the PS2's button bashing edition!
On that note, does anyone know when or if Okamiden is coming out in Europe?
