That's some pretty blue. I wish it weren't spray ;p!
I love the matte black, too, I don't see it combined with shiny often enough.

Agreed. I'm not a big fan of glossy black :/ I started with glossy black when I first started customising, and yeah, it don't look right.

Gloss really depends on the overall color scheme. Like my one Shield Liger has gloss black armor, but it compliments the matte grey of the body and legs. And actually... he does have glossy blood red with his gloss black. But I think the black and red are used in such small amounts that it looks good. Other then that gloos black and blood red usually often fight with each other since they're too close in value (ex: if you do grey scale, black and red are almost the same value)
Then I have zoids like Hayate and Blade Liger that have more of a shimmer than a gloss. Paints with some shimmer to it seems to look great on zoids....

Double post, sorry Ghostie XD; Figured since this hasn't been updated in awhile, no one would realized I added stuff. Got the body done last night and I swear it took me longer to decide what decals should go where then to paint it. As usual, I painted a ton of little details everywhere. It's pretty cool when you move it and the metallic silver and blue bits shine in the light. And here's the colors I used since everyone loves the blue. Sprayed the blue parts with the silver spray paint first, then sprayed the blue (cuz the blue goes on clear and whatever is under affects the overall color). I thought it was amazing that my favorite metallic blue paint matched the spray blue perfectly. All the sprays and the black and silver craft paints were bought at Walmart, and the metallic blue craft paint was bought at Michaels Arts and Crafts Store. All 3 of the craft paints are acrylic.

Mmm, so very blue. I now really want the non-spray version and will have to look for a bottle. (edit) Is it the Ice Blue?
Any way to get another shiny coat (clear or otherwise) on the silver teeth/claw bits? I think they'd benefit from a teeeny more gloss to match the Blue Of Awesome.

The blue paint is called Ice Blue ^^ I'll have to put on some clear coat gloss when I get back to the dorm. Sounds like a good idea.
