The Blacknight Rose is a black rose with a pale blue center, like a moon in a black night. It stands for a time when things grow dark and grim, a moment of solitude, a quiet respite... @shadow, Thank you! *bows* It comes from an old building I made on Redwall muck. It was an old mansion that lost most of it's owners to a plague, so the garden in the back was overrun with the Blacknight Rose, because the manor was the only place the rose could thrive, so it choked out most of the red and white roses. Nice and eerie. X3
Let me find the description I had for the garden...
You enter into a vast garden that has fallen into disrepair. Weeds have sprung up in the herbal section, and choke out most of the original, flamboyant occupants of the garden, trying to hide the path under their sprawling leaves. Despite the neglect, the rose bushes in the gardens have fared well. The bushes seem to have become as unruly as most weeds, though much more pleasant to look at. The majority of the bushes host black blossoms, that are just barely beginning to open up. The few roses that have spread their petals far enough, reveal a blue center, like an icy moon in the midst of a starless night. It's these roses that have given the manor its name, as it seems to be the perfect environment for the rare colour to thrive.
Other bushes give birth to vivid red roses, or deep violet roses. There is a small pond, kept alive by a weakly sputtering fountain. Small golden fish swim around, defying the neglect of the garden. Overlooking the pond is a pair of tall evergreens. Between the trees rests a stone bench with entricately carved details, depicting roses and happy lovers, the images tarnished by mold and age. Vine-like weeds attempt to hide the bench in their grasp.
