Name: Arjen (not putting last name out in public) Nicknames: Vargen666 for more than 12 years now. Age: 29 Country: Netherlands Favourite Zoid: Seismosaurus! Any other comments: First of all, I think I've wounded up on this forum through Phenotype's forum. Or was it the other way around...? I've got this forum bookmarked for a while but only now decided to register. I've gotten into Zoids only a few months ago. When I was digging through my old stuff from my childhood I discovered Zoidzilla and Krark in a box. All dusty and falling apart, but complete nonetheless. This spawned my interest for these models again after many years. What started as a quest to refurnish those two old Zoids has turned out in what looks like a new hobby for me. My background before this is building modelkits (mostly scifi) and I hope I can bring this succesfully to Zoids as well. By this I mean, I plan on (note the word plan, heh!) painting my newly acquired Zoids to make them look more realistic. I already painted up a Hel Digunner, which I will post in the gallery after this! So, another hobby, another forum (or two) to spend time on, and more shelves on the walls...

That's pretty awesome that you got back into zoids from some childhood memories. If you're a modelkit builder, you'd probably enjoy the Kotobukiya HMM zoid lines. Tons of pieces and intricate detail.

I've got a HMM Saber Tiger waiting to be built. But to be honest, what I like about Zoids is not offered by the HMM versions: Motorized action. As a kid I loved them (I had more than those two but I thrashed them in my teens) because the cool way they move. Now I like them even more than back then for the same reason, but from a "grown-up" perspective: The mechanism that makes it move. Even a Zoid that looks boring when standing still can be cool when it is moving. Some Zoids are really convincing and thought out like that.

Oooo HMM Saber Tiger! I have to say that has been my favorite HMM so far. Mostly cuz I love the layering of the parts. You'll get along with Tilly quite well for liking the motorized action over poseability :3

Hi and welcome! It's so cool that you returned to the fandom after so long. Once a zoider, always a zoider. XD

I hope you will have a great time here! We're small at the moment, but that's the best part :B

Thanks all! It's cool to see so many dedicated to Zoids. I never though this would be so big!
@ Ghosty >>> You are Shadowliger from Pheno I presume? Yeah, the poor Seismo. Fortunately it seems he's going to be OK now due to the help from the Dutch Zoids-ambassador in Australia!
@ Deathy >>> Hah, where the tides take us! The Dutch end up all over the place, huh? I was born and raised in a town near Utrecht, and I actually went to school in Utrecht... It's a great and relatively friendly city. Now I live in the north of Holland, Friesland. People here don't even speak dutch to eachother even though it's part of the Netherlands. ;D

Thanks all! It's cool to see so many dedicated to Zoids. I never though this would be so big! Oh yeah! There's a good bit of Zoidiers all around the world it seems. I guessing because they're so unique compared to other mechs. I can't think of any that's able to move the way they do and their build is much different then the usual gundam/armored core models Fortunately it seems he's going to be OK now due to the help from the Dutch Zoids-ambassador in Australia! LOL! I like that title for Deathy XD

Hello there again!
I get what you mean about the motorized ones, I'm much the same way. I've got a HMM Bladey waiting around for paint, but the motorized kits just keep me coming back in ways detailed but only posable ones can't.

I am indeed That's good to hear! I almost ended up with the Seismo parts from her myself, but decided against it because I had no real use for it. Glad it'll end up with someone who can. And Lol! You wanna be careful giving people nicknames around here... they tend to stick XD

Indeed ;D @vargen: (nearly typed Varjen XD) Wow awesome, I really should try to save enough money (if I can! XD) to make a trip to Nederlands XD, go to Utrecht and all. (I always say Nederland instead of Netherlands, lol). That's interesting about Friesland o.o Looks like I won't need too much Dutch then :B Like the nickname XD This morning, Ghostie and I was discussing our Zoids' nationalities XD My Gustav and Heldi are Europeans, lol.
