It's a mix. There's a TF group that even did a poll about it recently. Half of the TF fans were ok with OCs, the other half just despises them all together. Of course when you have people with OCs that are just another Seeker recolor, I guess I can't blame them, but when someone actually puts effort into the design and isn't god moding... it's just unfair to automatically turn it down. I'm actually friends on DA who does a lot of TF OCs with zoid alt modes. I love her Falcon/Phoenix OC ;D More Blaze, this time showing her more crazy self  |

Yeah I can't understand why people would hate a seeker recolour. It's like someone recolouring a pic of a character and calling it their OC. But when effort's been put into it to actually make it look unique, then that's different. Would they be so quick to slam it if it was officially announced?

Crazy characters are more fun, though I do have the reasons for her craziness. I'll try explaining once her character sheet is done xD It goes with the TFA story line. There's this one part of the story where they extract decepticon coding from when they captured Starscream and the Elite Guard wants to use the codes to program to create their own flight capable bots. So they get the Autobot's Ministry of Science to do so (according to the TFA series, flight capabilities are unique to Decepticon programming only). And Blaze is their first "failed" experiment, resulting in the eventually creating Jetfire and Jetstorm (in the official plot, they of course just made Jetfire and Jetstorm, but her concept fit well with that plot). Yay plot that actually fits in the real plot! XD
And it would probably be slammed more if it was official. Seriously, there are still people who refuse to watch TFA because they just don't like the character designs. And people are already complaining about the new character designs in the new Transformers series that just aired last week O___o
