(The battle story sucks and the photos aren't very good *Will take some with a better camera next time* but here we go)
Notes on construction:
There's not much really much work gone into the Nightwave Striker. He basically just consists of an NER Rev Raptor with a new black and red paint job, and a cap switch.
I never really put much thought into it either. I just had some black and red paint lying around and just happened to have a spare unbuilt Rev Raptor handy so I set to work.
Striker did have his original blue caps for a while, but I got a second Zabat that was going cheap and yoinked the red caps from there.
Regretably, Zabat was just two caps short of being able to replace Striker's entire set, so his counterscythes are being held on by two caps from Kami knows where, that are the same design, just black. It seems to contrast quite nicely with the paintwork.
Story:
The Rev Raptor Nightwave type was part of a project known as Project Haveblack. The project was designed to create a patrol of stealth Rev Raptors, installed with Organoid systems.
Striker (So named by its test pilot) was the first prototype created from this project, and, aside from a few problems with maintaining its optical cloak, it faired pretty well in initial testing.
However, when its original test pilot met an untimely death, Striker became unmanagable, refusing to work properly with other pilots. Whether this was because it didn't want a different pilot, or it had a coincidental breakdown of the controls still remains to be seen, but it ejected the pilot and and escaped on its last test run.
Project Haveblack was revised, and went ahead without the addition of the Organoid system, but the fate of Striker is, to this day, still not known.
