Here he is, my first ever custom, the Blood Liger! The battle story isn't well worded, but what the hell XD The Shield Liger TCS is a custom Shield Liger owned by Commander Suki, 1 of 2 commanders of the Thunder Clan. It has an organoid system, so it lets nobody else pilot unless ordered by Suki. It is no different from a normal shield liger apart from it's colour scheme and it is also slightly more fast and evasive. It often fights with dual beam cannons. Suki gave it the nickname 'Blood liger' so people wouldn't have to say it's full name. He's not finished yet, I need to add blood to his claws and some places on his back XD

Striking colours like that! I wouldn't add blood to him really. I mean, where would the blood come from? Zoids don't bleed. If I were you I'd just colour his panellines black to bring out the details. And maybe personalize the pilot figure by painting him.

I know zoids don't bleed, but I thought it would look cool if it looked like it had killed something (I have had a very violent mind lately) And I would paint his panellines but I don't have the proper model painting tools. I actually painted this guy using spray can car colours! Citroen Red and Nissan gold to be exact XD
And the pilot is already nissan gold XD

Oooh nice! I love the colours! The blood idea sounds good to me. >:3 Phantom has "blood" on his blades, albeit just a stylised paint job... And Gijgeju is bloody. so freaking bloody.

Nice! I have one like that I painted years ago, except that all I did was paint the blue armour in Ferrari Red and left the rest as is. Actually scratch that, I just found an old photo of it and realised I painted the feet, teeth and guns dark grey.
I notice you faction switched it ^^

Yeah! I took the empire stickers from my Liger Zero's sticker sheet and put them on just to make him seem a bit more evil

Guylos is good, but I prefer Zenebas.

Hrm, panel lines on the cheap/without importing...you could get a brush and some ink. A brand I've seen in the UK is Winsor and Newton—I'll be giving it a shot on my HMM Bladey one of these days, I'll see how well it goes.
I've also heard of people using Microns...or even fine tip sharpies (and I've seen metallic Sharpies, if you wanted to do other details). Just test on a bit you can't see (once the Zoid's together) first.
Shield Ligers look nice red for some reason I can't entirely articulate. If you're going to add blood, maybe use acrylic or something you can remove later if you don't like the effect?

If you're gonna use a micron pen, be sure to seal afterwards with a coat of varnish. That is, asuming that all micron pens are water-soluble. I use a Pigma micron pen for this kind of stuff. But only on projects that I know will get a coat of varnish.

I've done watercolor over Microns before, maybe they vary? Checking if something is waterfast is a good idea anyway.

...AND THE HUNT FOR SHARPIES BEGINS

SHARPIEEEZ HELLZYEA.
Black Phantom's claws, paler red sections (IE not blades), tail piece and all the basecoats were done with sharpies. XD I used microns to get in the grill/vent sections on his sides, they seem fine although don't have anything over them.
Greyscale, Amaterasu/Cairo and Fredmun are also done with sharpies. XD Cairo was the first I used sharpies on. I think he's still mad at me for making him look like a girl (Amaterasu) XD It was how his ... uh, booster/smoke discharger things turned out sharpied red that made me love sharpies for customing.
Oh wait, Crikey has lots of sharpie on him. Killed a sharpie working on him. XD
So I luv sharpies. Yey sharpies. XD

Nice choice of colors, although I would call it Shield Liger Fire clan. Did you use can of spray paint? Adding or painting details really makes a custom zoid stand out, but not everybody has the patient to do it. Sharpies are too fumy for me. After 15 minutes I get a headache, I wonder how you do it Celtic Zoid?
