Yay! The Zoid Eve. She's not as blended as I like, but I can go back and fix that soon. For now, men's ice skating calls. Impressive! I see what you mean. |

Luckily this paper is only 1000 words (it's more like an essay compared to what i had to do for composition) and it's 1000 or 4 pages, which ever comes first. Lol. |

ME ME OH MY GATES ME, I loathe skintones. They aren't so bad in something like SAI or PS where you can tweak red/blue/green/etc to get a good skintone, but in Tegaki... OH MY GATES ... TEGAKI SUCKS ASS when it comes to skintones. Injustice is too yellow, as is Origin and Fintan just sucks. Skintones are EVIL. I loathe them. You are not alone. I can go off on that for as long as Mike Rowe rants about interruptions. ("If it's not a jet, it's an air compressor, if it's not an air compressor, it's a tape in Doug's camera, or [this person's] camera, or [that person's] camera, or a battery in my little pack back here.") XD |

I always use the skin tones provided in Ramy's (On dA) skin colouring tutorial (Which regrettably he's now taken down... thank Kami I saved it to hard drive)
Otherwise there are numerous charts you can use if you search for "skin tone" on Google

Did I forget to mention I'm using colored pencil. Not PS or computer programs, unfortunately. I'm tradish coloring this and I do no editing in PS at all afterwords (since well, I was trained not too). I would be good with photoshop or with my markers (since all in all, they blend better than colored pencil). However, it's pencils. Maybe I'll do a few experiment samples, post them and see if anyone thinks they look good. Unfortunately, most of the nice browns I have are rather green and give a sick looking darker skin tone.

I have a good skintone pencil. Just one and I can't remember what package it came from. So most of my characters are pale skinned because of that. </random>

So most of my characters are pale skinned because of that. </random> Yeah, my own trio of colors has made up the skintones of all my pencil works, however, since I'm trying to be more "dynamic" I guess, I wanted to try to get the variations in skin color since the characters do, lucky, I grabbed everything that looked like it would make a good skin color or shadow and I've made some good combos. However, I think my hardest skins to color will be Thomas (he's got odd colored skin) and Prozen/ Dark Kaiser |
