Apparently, if the HMM and Revoltech lines weren't enough, there is another company planning to release a variant of Zoids. Yamato have released this design, which a Zoidspoison member found on Ngee Khiong's blogLooks like, as with the HMMs, the Shield Liger seems to be the starter Zoid of choice. Someone in this thread mentioned something about larger scale Zoids... I think I'm gonna wait til I see a prototype before making a judgement on this.

Interesting... At least... more companies into the Zoids business= more exposure= possibly explosion of Zoids fan population ;D And that means, Genesis must absolutely be released in Australia!

Eh... thinking about it, I think I'd be more excited if this company were planning to release motorised kits, or even re-issue some of the older ones that were missed from RC and Graphics...

Ooo I really love this design over koto's. I hope it won't be expensive, though with Yamato... ; ; *reads Zoidspoison posts* Ugh! What are they talking about that it looks exactly the same and is a rip off of koto's!? This design is soooo completely different! Koto seemed to base theirs of the model, where as this one looks more like the anime varient and sports the body type of the Murasame with the thinner waste. Also, the koto version is very geometric and blocky where as this one has the curves and pipes of the original. And note that this shieldy stands more like a real tiger does with a paw more like the anime's where the koto version is flat footed. Made these to show my points: Note the curves spines in the anime models and the Yamato.

I totally knew there's soooo many differences between HMM and Yamato Shieldy. I love this Yamato design! Screw HMM Shieldy, Yamato Shieldy's on my list! ;D And hoping they make create a DCS-J release some day! Or at least MK II.
Well put together, SB ;D Now to throw it at the ZP'ers XD

Ya totally go for it ;D
Also, I don't think they realize that Revoltech usually only produces about 5 different mechs from 1 series ^^;

lol awesome XD It's so true though about the anatomical differences.

Yeah, there are those differences, plus there's the canopy. If I'm seeing that right, the Yamato Shield Liger has just a rim around the outside, whereas the HMM has a complete framework.

And it does have that really odd nose that the HMM has XD Found this totally amusing. I really wish people would research and understand design and concept before they say stuff. A. It proves that the Yamato and Koto designs are totally different. It doesn't matter what liger you compare it to because since they're all the same species, they all have the same core design. Even with the Shield Liger's head down, it still has that same curved spine that LZ has and the same paw joints. B. Murasame doesn't have that body type because of the ring. All the new designs in Genesis has that thin body type. Why? Because it allows a much wider range of movement and more animal correct mobility. Compare to the original blocky-ness of the anime Shield Liger. With that thick torso, it shouldn't be able to move side to side or up and down at all. They cheated in the show and allowed the parts to go into one another. Even with the more blocky-ness, the Shieldy still has the thick to thin to thick body structure.

You know, Shadow, you should really lecture them about the anatomical differences. XD You're getting absolutely no arguments from us.

Then join so you can. XD If anyone knew anything about you (IE, your biologically-anatomically correct original zoids and design-oriented stuff), then they'd know they're nothing but a grasshopper trying to face down a Gustav. And there's no squeally girl around to save them. XD
