That city sounds very much like it's from Chaotic Century! You sure you weren't having a CC marathon prior to this? Nah XD It was a lot more grand-looking than something on Zoids CC, and a bit more old. Somewhere between Paris, Babylon in PoP:The Two Thrones and Venice, but without the water. Mostly like Venice without water

Copy-paste from LJ because the dream was awesome...
Title of entry: Of ... uh... Sci fi prisonery goodness dream that was tronish and awesome
Entry: So! This dream was awesome and I loved it but I don't know how to even begin to go about explaining its AWESOMENESS.
I was a prisoner of some sort, a criminal I'm sure. Or at least criminal by the system, but with how I thought, I'm pretty sure I was a criminal period. A male, ... with blue or white hair, that or I had a cap on that was removed, can't really remember. And I was humanoid in appearance, but not race. I know they had three measurements on me, but I'll explain that later.
It started with me in this rather weird position in a ring, being held in place with blueish green bolts of electricity. They would ask me a question and I would refuse to answer. Of course, when I didn't behave like they wanted me to, a painful surge of electricity would make me scream in pain. After a rather lengthy interrogation, they finally gave up on me, putting energy cuffs around my hands to bind them tightly in front of me. There was also an energy leash around my ankles, I think. They threw me in a large cell, where I stumbled to the back, numb from the electrocutions, and curled up miserably. After a bit, I realized I could see the three status bars that were measuring my levels. One was overall vitals (heart rate type stuff), one was the bonds/cuffs, and another was a weird sort of power I had. Whenever I flexed the power, the bonds would strengthen. I never could weaken the power to turn the bonds off entirely, but nonetheless, it was an interesting discovery. I moved to the front of the cell (which was large and had several prisoners in it, not sure why, and had an open looking front that was really protected by a sort of force-field). I had seen other prisoners test the force field, only to be flung back in pain. But me, I was tempted to explore this 'third power' I had. So I first maxed it out and tested the force-field, and was thrown back with a cry of pain. So I dimmed it to the point it was almost non-existent, or as non-existent as I could get it anyway, and tried again, surprised to see the force field flex when I pushed against it. I pushed my head into it, and it went around, kinda like plastic, but porous so I could breathe still. That's when I noticed a female guard coming and tried to pull away, but somehow the force field got stuck to my face like saran wrap... I lifted the third-power-level so I was flung back, and she suspected nothing.
After she left, I tried again, and managed to force my way through the field... but there was still the problem of the cuffs, which burned my wrists and ankles when I got through. So now I was stuck exploring the base, dodging guards.
The reason I call it "Tronish" is because the entire layout was almost Tron-Legacy in feel, dark, metallic, with glowing accents and force-fields and the fact that most of the area was somehow electricity based.
I am so tempted to explore this world and make this dreamself a character. XD;

Copy-pasta from LJ
Alright, now my brain has returned to being a horny rabbit.
Last night I dreamt of the XMen, most of them were ones I didn't recognize or didn't know very well, but they were all in the background... However, wolverine was on a rampage and attacking everyone... There was one kinda like Beast or whatever the blue guy is, but he was able to make steel fur that worked as armor against Wolverine's claws (which in hindsight, doesn't make since as they are supposed to be able to go through anything, right?) anyway...
After a bit, an Akai knockoff came in (except he wasn't Akai, different face, but he had almost-red hair (more orange than Akai's) and welll, you'll see more knockoff as I go along), and started taunting Wolverine. Come to find out his name is unimaginatively Dragon. He had large red wings, that were similar to Akai's, but again, more orange in colour, and almost iridescent. Anyway, he teased and taunted Wolverine for a bit, before leading him outside, away from the others, who were injured from the rampage, and ultimately lead Wolverine to Naica (Which was somehow only a hop skip and flutter away). He circled above what's called the Robin Hole, blasting the cover that the mine put over it and diving down. He was smug at this point, thinking Wolverine wouldn't follow, but a couple of pebbles fell down, so he looked up to see that he WAS following him down, using his claws on the edge of the robin hole to slow his decent. Dragon hefted his wings as much as the narrow shaft would allow to speed his dive, shouting something about "You idiot! You're going to destroy my robin hole!" As soon as he got to the ice palace, he twisted into it, darting into the far reaches. Wolverine swung in after him. It took him a bit to locate Dragon, until he noticed a soft glowing in the back. Dragon managed to wedge himself into a very narrow sliver, and seemed to somehow be pulling energy out of the crystals, hence the glowing. After Wolverine tried to get to him (Failing because he's so much bulkier), Dragon became concerned for Wolverine's safety due to the heat, so he bolted to have Wolverine follow him out.
Later, Dragon was with someone else when he got stuck in quick sand. He was trying to fly out and starting to panic, and said, (I remember exactly) "I'm not like this I'm not like this!" Not sure what that meant.

I could never do that... My characters are my friends, and that would be like killing them before they even tried to meet me. XD;
I've discovered when I try to resist a character being "born", they end up becoming evil. XD

Dreams... Here's copy pasta. Alright, my dreamself rides between the land of the living and the land of the dead... Night before last I had a dream where I was in this massive building that had a small part that was a museum, but the rest was closed off. I think there were three or four levels, but only half the floor level was open to the public. I was curious and explored the off limits section to see lots of people dressed in the attire of the ... I think it was 1940-1950s. It looked like living history, but then when one came up to me and smiled and shook my hand, the moment we touched, everything looked like it was in decay... The walls were rotted and covered with green moss that hung down, there was this dark blue mist, and everyone looked like rotted corpses screaming in pain. This sufficiently creeped me out so I ran to the main part, but just before I got there, I looked up to see the upper levels buzzing with activity... then a spirit brushed me, and all the people were falling off the stairs, alight with green fire, and the building was collapsing. I ran to the curator and asked her wtf was going on. She told me that the reason she had only a small section open was because the rest was inhabited by the ghosts, and she didn't want to intrude on them... Then last night, I had this orientalish dream where I was a young man searching for redemption... for what, I don't know. I would travel from town to town, protecting the people from some sort of infection that would manifest in their dead ancestors and move to wipe out all mana-bearers in the town, then spread a disease that slowly killed everything else. One town had already been attacked once, though not by the infection... There had been a battle, and I knew the battle was lead by whoever started this infection, so I waited around to see if anything would come up. The lord of the land came by (and looked a hella lot like Beowulf. XD) and was also watching over the town. I sat with several of the orphans, just to be there for them... I didn't say much, when the lord came by and put a hand on my shoulder. He proceeded to give this long speech about not holding on to what draws us back, releasing wrong things in the past, then proceeded to give examples, one of which was what burdened me so. I just stared at the ground, my vision was getting blurry from surpressed tears. He asked if I understood and all I said was "Thank you, Master." Later that night, some spirits started to come forth. I spat a sacred fire onto candles of the town, and they stayed away for the night. In the morning, two dancers, one boy and one girl, came forth and began to entertain the group. I hated them, I knew something was effed up, so I discovered how to make bombs using my sacred-fire-breath, by putting it in a special kind of bowl, breathing then compacting the fire like a snowball until I felt it tingling, then I could throw it. So I threw it past the dancers to break a gate open... And the weird thing is, no one noticed. So I ran around the crowd to the gate, my gait going from a bipedal run, to a hop-like run, to a quadrupedal lope, to short glides... The dancers knew I was up to something so followed me. I made my way to the top of the orphanage and howled like a wolf. Something in me had gone feral. When the townspeople asked what was up, I could only say the dancers were evil, they were controlling them. Which made itself evident as one of the dancers (which I discovered to be the recently killed corpse of a nearby town, not dead long enough to bear proper resemblance/aura of a spirit) asked for mana bearers, and one person answered "None left, except for the (name) brothers." I slapped the person, scratching their face with claws I forgot I had. Then spirits came, in broad daylight frighteningly enough, and started to attack them. I ended up picking off spirits with the sacred fire, then ushering the survivors onto a makeshift boat, telling them to sail away, that they couldn't cross water (IE walk or swim on it, they couldn't get wet) but they could find a boat so I had to go back and fight them. I ended up getting it down to two, then in the fight against the last two, I fell into the water, dragging them along. They disintigrated, turning into murky dust in the water, and I began to sink, too exhausted from the battle to swim... I eventually blacked out. When I woke up, everything was hazy, but I saw the Beowulf-lord again, and with him was a tuskarr looking creature/person. The Tuskarr had been giving me sleep-lessons (like listening to tapes when you sleep) about how the creatures of the water, the dolphin, the seals, the billfish, were wise and helpful, it was dolphin and billfish that brought me to them and ultimately saved my life.
