Apparently some time between New Century and Fuzors. (And NO for the love of Ra, those stupid things that Brad runs by in the Shadow Fox episode ARE NOT KONIGS. I HATE it when people say they are.)

huh... but when does Genesis take place?
and better yet, Zoids Galaxy quest for planet Zi (the first manga I thinks) has Kugo (the main character) coming onto the planet, and the main zoid is a Konig, and the time period was ANCIENT!

Genesis is thousands of years after NCZ, I believe. The world had a cataclysmic shift, where many cities fell into the sea and land appeared in the ocean. It was chaotic enough to set technology back. *would explain more but that would be spoilery*
And as a hint, never try to mix Manga, Anime and Video Game storylines, they're not the same. Manga-wise, a virus infected Godos killed Raven's parents; Anime-wise Ambient did. You can't mix them, it's just not compatible.

true... but I've already seen all of Genesis, so you don't have to worry about me getting spoiled... and the zoid the size of a mountain might be the ultrasaurus
any other common zoids in genesis that we didn't see? and the new cockpits and that 'life oil' stuff confuzzled me

Hmmm.... *thinking* Off the top of my head, not that I can recall.
I actually like the newer cockpits, it's neat to see how they move.
As for the "life oil" rigel (or however that's spelled), I think it's about time we saw the zoids get some sort of power source or fuel. That's one thing that miffed me about classic and NCZ. (I died after three Fuzors episodes, so if they had any fuel there, I didn't catch it.)
Now, Rigel being ALL LIFE SOURCE, that's a bit ... meh. But I am glad to see zoids having a fuel source. I also like seeing the zoid repairs, and as dorky as this sounds, one of my favourite scenes is when Ron starts up his zoid. YAY for watching a startup in process!
My main complaint is in the last episode. They wrapped everything up in ten minutes. My personal belief is they should've had one more episode wherein ... *cuts spoilers for others sake* things are explaiend more clearly. I'd like to know HOW they found out crap.

yeah... but in the last episode, when the bio whatchamacallit was crushing Mii's cockpit, where it cut to the inside shot of her getting crushed alive... I had nightmares for two weeks and was afraid of small rooms... XD
also, did the Marusame liger fix everyone or just itself?

Yeah I love the cockpit styles in both Fuzors and Genesis. They seemed more high-tech to me and like you said, it was cool to see how they move. Actually, the new cockpit designs in Genesis looks more like they're riding a sport bike while the classic cockpits are like a regular motorcycle XD; The first time I saw the rigel I immediately thought it was energon, the liquid that fulls the transformers. Even more hilarious is that both are pink! I was hoping for more in the end too :/

@itty - OMG I WONDERED THE SAME THING. I got sooo confused. I thought maybe the ... whatever Garaga's zoid was had an extra core in the backpack or something. Ugh, that really confused me. XD; It felt like they went "HOCRAP 10 minutes left! FINISHITQUICKLYNAO" and sneezed out an ending. XD
Of course me with my one track 'hey look a whitehair' mind, I was like, if it fixed everyone's WHERE IS SEIJUUROU?! </dork>
It looked more red-brown to me, but I'm running off memory. XD I could be remembering wrong. I never saw enough TF to see Energon.
I also felt the Genesis cockpits seemed sturdier and able to withstand shelling better than Classic/NCZ cockpits. Though I'm not really sure why now that I think about it.

true... but I've already seen all of Genesis, so you don't have to worry about me getting spoiled... and the zoid the size of a mountain might be the ultrasaurus I think they were talking about the fact that there were Zoids that big, not a Zoid in particular. If they were talking about a Zoid in particular though, I'd've said the likelihood is it was Gil Dragon they were talking about. Right, let's settle this little Regel colour debate once and for all:

I think the ultrasaurus would just need its own generator for how much full it would need
