I honestly never got to buy a zoid off the shelf, but I believe the last one I actually saw on a shelf was a Berserk Fury in Target. Likewise! I might have seen them in Woolworths way back when I was a kid, but if I did I was far too busy with Beyblades and Yugioh cards to notice XD; You saying that, I was 10 when Zoids2 hit the UK. What irks me is that There's a very high chance I saw Z2 Zoids in the toy shops at the height of the line's release, but because I didn't know what they were and subsequently wasn't interested I never paid any attention to them. I do sometimes wonder what would've happened if I had noticed them. Would my first Zoid have been a Z2 rather than an NER?

Yeah I always thought about that thinking if I have only noticed Zoids when they released the Technozoids in the US when I was a kid D:

I never replied to this!
Well, MIB model was Dimetreptera I think. MIB action figure was Iron Kong. (More recent as KMart took longer to get rid of their AF zoids.)
In a thrift store model was Fredmun and Trudigunner, and another Iron Kong from another thrift store.
And HMM zoids are still zoids. XD Just because they're different doesn't make them any less zoid. That's why I included the action figures.

I never replied to this either! XD
The last (and quite frankly only) zoid I bought in a shop was when I was back in California over the summer. I was cruising around San Fransisco's Chinatown and found a toy store I used to go to when we still lived there. Hoping for the best, I went in and there was a whole corner full of Zoids! Unfortunately I couldn't buy a big zoid because there wasn't enough space in my case, so I settled for a Spinosnapper and a Viking Lance CP for my Command Wolf. I was still pleased as punch though!
Although I kinda wish I'd got the Elephander that was there and just ditched the box, but it was quite expensive... I think the zoids were from the NJR release and the woman who ran the shop must have had them imported, hence their shocking prices...
Although then again, she was attempting to charge me 25 dollars for a Blue-eyes White Dragon card... XD

Sadly yeah, you got the inflated shipping on top of the original cost, and then on top of that the shop needs to make a profit.
That depends what blue eyes it was. The secret Rare Dark Duel Stories promotional card apparently has a guide price of £65

I noticed that as well, but I'm sure that type of Blue eyes is the most common...
And lol at the link XD Some people just really go overboard with their prices on Ebay... I remember I saw one of the Egyptian God Cards going for £100 once!

I need to brush up on my numbers. XD; Typically the Blue Eyes isn't that rare. SDK and SKE are from starter decks that are really only $10 nowadays, so the ebay person is completely stupid. Not entirely sure what DPKB stands for, though. Some people will pay more for harder to get numbers, though a simple toy store shouldn't be fussing about that, only places like Cards N Comics. .... .... I miss Cards N Comics. T_T

Not entirely sure what DPKB stands for, though. Duelist Pack Kaiba. Basically a series of booster packs containing earlier card designs that are specific to Kaiba. I bought a few, but they contain less cards than regular boosters.

Aah! I see, thanks Ghostie! Taking the packs' name into account, I can't imagine it being hard to get BEWD out of it. XD but since I didn't get one, (we had DP of GX chars here, but I missed out on any of the classics) I can't be sure.

I missed out on the classics too, I started to take an interest in Yu-gi-oh after GX came out. The only classic cards I have I got through trading at my primary school, back when I attended (and I lost my precious Cyber Dragon to some tw*t...).

Don't feel old Ghostie! D:
And I still prefer the classics over the newest cards, although I am guilty of possessing a Synchro and a few Xyz cards... I have a soft spot for those Malefic cards too, although I don't own any yet ;D

Don't worry, it's probably not the first time this thread's made me feel old XD
I've got my eye on the Malefic Red Eyes for my Red Eyes collection. Thought I had it when I bought BBT from Play, as it advertised it, but there was no card in the case. Play just said "Oh we're out of stock, send the DVD back for a refund" But I thought it wasn't worth it when the card's so easy and cheap to get on its own.... and now I have it.
