After viewing Wolftiger's custom King Liger where I was first introduced to the technique for changing chrome colour (Thanks Wolfie ^^) I decided to give it a try myself. Recently a spare Z2 Sabre came into my possession and I'm sure most of us are aware of the lovely blue variant shown on the box. While I myself am pretty convinced that variant is simply a trick of the light that doesn't stop me liking it, so I decided to see if I could emulate that variant. Sadly it didn't come out as well as I hoped. The blue turned out too dark, though in all likelihood the problem was probably more caused by having to put on an extra layer to hide the changes in colour caused by hand brushing. Regardless he's still pretty to me and I'm mostly just glad to have been able to finish another custom. I don't get to work on them much anymore. Also this guy could probably do with a fresh set of stickers if anyone has any spare laying around they wouldn't mind selling or trading.

That is the most beautiful blue I've seen on a zoid!

Nice job! That blue is definitely tasty <3 I always really loved those ornate decals the Z2 zoids come with. It's certainly a welcome change from the silvery lavender color I mostly see on the Z2 Saber XD

Thanks ^^ I was actually contemplating just leaving them off, but on reflection I'm glad I put them back on.

Pretty fantastic. I love the contrast that the blue creates against the gold and the red. Definitely a fun piece to admire!

I think you did a great job on this Ghostliger. I like the vibrant blue that resulted.

That's one beautiful tiger! ;D
I think dark shade of blue is perfect, it works better with the bright red.
I wish I have a Zoids 2 Sabre to paint shiney blue or green.

Ooooh! A green one I would like to see. Like a chrome version of WIKD's prototype
