Good God, that's insane!
(Srsly, it's no wonder I get suicidal when I remember I'm 100% fucking human.)
Y'all do me a favor, if I pick up that book, just put a bullet through my head at that instant. Don't hesitate. I don't want to become one of them.

lol stopped about 3/4 of the way through the second book, I couldn't stand it anymore! Have any of you seen this? Not sure of someone else posted it here already. *too lazy to look back* semi-amusing spoof. www.take180.com/s/bprmnTEDWARD! Read the link/ story above. People like that deserve to be shot or sterilized. 0_0 What is the human race coming too, I don't think it was ever this bad for Harry Potter.

ROFLMAO! That Spoof's hilarious, but I gotta admit, as far as the crazy acid wielding fangirl goes, I gotta be skeptical until I see a news report...

ROFLMAO! That Spoof's hilarious, but I gotta admit, as far as the crazy acid wielding fangirl goes, I gotta be skeptical until I see a news report... Apparetly, there was also a news post about these crazy fangirls on DA, with someone commenting on how an insane fangirl attacked her with a water bottle. And some similar stuff has bee circulating. Dn't know if news would consier it somethign to report, though. Still wana find something like that.

It may be hard to believe, but I don't question things like that, mainly because one of my friends has one of those lives that happen to be amazingly sucky and lots of people think she's a liar, when she isn't. I called her a liar once, she showed me she wasn't, and I haven't ever gotten that critical since. There's usually the chance that it may be true, and someone going, "you lie" or "I won't believe" can hurt them, and they won't tell anyone anything again. That's what angered me about the people on that thread calling the person a liar, bitch, and troublemaker. As long as there's a chance that there's truth, there should be an ounce of respect that someone may actually be suffering from such a cruel outbreak such as that. If they don't treat it with respect (especially if it's true), then they'll be just as cruel as the girl that threw acid. As for the pictures thing (Pics or it didn't happen), I don't feel comfortable posting pics of myself on the internet, I would feel even less inclined to do so if I had disfiguring injuries. Just because I don't take pictures of myself doesn't mean I don't exist. And people who post pics may be lying, too! And news? Pft, I don't trust news. *peers critically at the (political thing that I should not talk about here), earflick, tailthrash.* They prefer to focus on things like the best tasting coffee versus the wildfires in Australia, for example. using a non-political thing. Man, Ghostie, remind me to tell you about "political groupies"... I hope I remember what I meant when you remind me. XD; Don't get me wrong, Ghostie, Skepticism is fine, in my book. Critical thinking is something the human race is losing, and skepticism helps us tell if outlandish lies that use false proof is true or not. (Example: a dude was talking about how his brothers made him stop eating bananas, saying they were mouldy spider remains, the little black things in the banana were the spider's legs. XD And since he was little at that time, he believed it because the "proof" that was the black spider's legs.) Rant was more directed at people taking it to the extreme on the thread. (I read most of the 21 pages. After a bit I just ended up skimming XD; It got boring reading the same thing, especially when the admin started having that argument with another member that thought less of the admin because he used the word f***tard.) Just got mad at the people screaming about how the person was a liar and if they didn't post pics, they were lying, etc etc etc, since I had done something similar with a friend of mine and she ended up telling the truth. XD; *climbs off soapbox* Edit: wow, this was a long rambly nonsensical post. ;

^ Good rant, Celt. Yeah, people always want pics for proof, which can get a little irritating. But then again, you gotta also consider that there are shifty liars out there, unfortunately. But Im' not saying th person who posted that thread is lying - considering what the human race is today, and how completely silly people can become obsessing over things, I would believe she may be telling the truth. People are scary things.
You also made a good point about news...if it was in the news, the reporter could have added things for so-called "sensation".

Thanks. ^^; Yea, I was friends with someone who knew a .. um... mentally disturbed person, of whom I was forced to meet unhappily. She would cry over being a virgin (even though she was a young teenager), proudly show off ... um, nevermind that - I'll just say, not worksafe, stalk people like mad, and not only was ... friend #1 (who told me about the showing off of notworksafe) disturbed, but also were friend #'s 2 and 3, both of which I didn't know even knew the psycho girl. When I was reading the story, it was psychogirl's face I pinned on the acid girl. And yea, there are crazybad liars out there. And the news is bad... XD; If I look for a news article, I try to find one that doesn't embelish the story. (I had to find one for a persuasive speech, and another for a dreamlog, but otherwise I avoid news-things like the plague.) Fortunately, the things I searched for were those offhanded news things. Which is sad, considering the shot boy story. I wish that one had a bit more coverage. (Maybe then the bastard snake haters wouldn't try shooting at a snake. >_< Annoyingly, CNN took down the story, too. -_- I'll have to find another copy of it somewhere. Found it here. Afraid that link wouldn't qualify as reliable sorce for a college paper, but still, it's almost word-for-word the CNN report. Cept CNN had the grand-father talking in video, saying he wished the bullet had struck him. Part of the reason I like the way this article is worded, they clarify that it's circumstantial evidence. And sadly, I don't think they'd update it with the investigation results, so we may never know the truth.)

Don't worry Celtic, I know what you mean ;D
I admit, I would not be surprised if something like that were true... To quote a certain Manga/Anime series, "This world is rotten!"
I got to be a skeptical person cuz of all the dramatic spam that gets passed around.
Of course it doesn't help that I'm paranoid as heck ^^;

I was also a little skeptical too, but again something like this wouldn't surprise me here in America. There are loads of crazies like that over here. -_- Seriously those fangirls would jump under a bus if Meyer's told them too. They have a scary level of devotion that makes those crazy christian sects look like amateurs. And to those people who want to see photographic proof... Do you really want to see some guy with half his face melted off from acid? That's just morbid and cruel. D:< I would almost equate that to the said fangirl in article above. I'm curious if the girl was a minor or not, because with how things work in this country, if she was young enough or "clinically diagnosed" with some sort of disorder it would be put on her juvenile record and sealed when she turned 18. Meaning in the eyes of the law it never happened. Changing gears... yea wasn't that great, loved when the car hit her the second time too. xD www.anti-shurtugal.com/wordpress/Here's another good website. Hope none of you like Eragon with a passion because it began with Eragon and has now moved to encompass Twilight too. Check out the article on the Breaking Dawn Pre-release party.

Omagash, ERAGON LOL. I once read a quote out of the book where someone was showing an example of how the writing in that book could seem like unintentional porn. I snorted with laughter. XD

Now that I've had my fill of bashing horrible books, I wondering if anyone here could play Street Fighter IV with me, I'm looking for opponents online.
I'm using the 360 version and my screen name is Al5ez. If you accept, please send a PM with your Xbox Live screen name and I'll be online whenever I can, just not now because I have to leave in a few minutes.
