Ah yes, human kid sidekicks, the bane in every TF show =v= Glad you're enjoying it though. The plot's nothing special, but I love the animation, characters and voice acting. I saw on tumblr that you have become a fan of Soundwave. He has a pretty great episode in the 3rd season, but I won't give any spoilers >w<

He has a pretty great episode in the 3rd season, but I won't give any spoilers >w< I agree with everything you just said And yes, Soundwave... so didn't see that obsession coming, I was able to watch through all season one and part of two before something clicked and I started to notice Soundwave and how awesome he is, I also noticed you done some artwork of him a while ago and it's like only now I get it. A few more to go before I am onto season 3 I will look forward to that episode you speak. Oh god Predaking is in season 3 , If I get obsessed with him too I might explode. BTW I only have up to episode 13 of season 3, are there any more or is that it? |

lol That's understandable, I mean he is a completely silent character and prefers to stay in the background of things, but when he needs to kick ass, he totally does thoroughly.
Yeah there's only 13 eps in season 3. The season was cut short. This show suffers a lot from executive input when you've read up on a lot of things. This show was originally suppose to be geared towards an older audience, which you can definitely see in eps like when we first saw Airachnid in "Predatory" and also "Crossfire." I don't think there has ever been a Transformers ep in TF history as dark as Predatory was... just those flashback scenes where Airachnid had Arcee hostage, just wow. And then they made TF Rescue Bots for the younger audience. But as time went on, they tried to expand their audience and attempt to cater to everyone, but it just ended up as a story and dialogue too basic for adults and visuals that were too scary for kids. They also had to rush story lines that should've continued through the entire season into 4 episodes so they could sell another DVD. So season 3 was reduced to 13 episodes and a new TF show was announced for 2014 that's suppose to continue the Prime continuity, but more "kid friendly" which everyone collectively groaned and facepalmed. I recently reblogged the article on Tumblr not too long ago.

Yes That is Soundwave alright!
Ok cool I am glad I have all the eps though a part of me was hoping there would be more
Arrrgg Kids are so seen it all these days anyway just give them the scary stuff I say!.... even thinking back the scary stuff I watched as a kid I loved greatly.
Looks like I will have to join the crowd here and do a groaning face palm if they tone the next season too much. Prime was nearing painful cheesy in certain scenes. It must be tricky for the team to cater for the wide fan age group Transformers beholds but wow I would love to see what they could come up with focused on an Adult audience.
Beast wars style boundary pushing I would be happy with , So many quotes in that series would go right over a youngens head to the amusement of the adults. That at the very least pleeease

It's like they finally realized they can have character development and can have an ongoing story (though they do fall back into that fetch quest formula for a few eps *rolls eyes*) Prime does suffer horribly from cheesiness or just all out lameness. We had an idea at the Cybertronian DA Group where the writing staff just threw darts at board with "episode plot idea" sticky notes on it XD But yeah, pretty much most of us are only there for the animation. Speaking of really cheesy, did you get to the ep where Optimus gets the Starsaber? omg I was laughing so hard at how stupid that was. That's also something we've all been saying. Beast Wars and Animated did it right. Animated is the opposite of Prime. It had a kid-friendly look, but had a very adult story with a lot of complex plot lines mixing together to create what was happening in the future. I think Beast Wars and Animated had the story completely laid out before they were made, where as Prime was made up as they went. @deathy: I saw! It was like, Predaking, Assassin's Creed, Preaking, Assassin's Creed XD I never got to play Assassin's Creed, but I do love the look and designs. |

Speaking of really cheesy, did you get to the ep where Optimus gets the Starsaber? omg I was laughing so hard at how stupid that was. Just got through that one now, I certainly face palmed at Smokescreen on multiple occasions. And then I was laughing at how conveniently placed that cliff was complete with a jump at the end of a smooth runway for Optimus. An episode Prior to that when Smoke screen first appeared.. When searching for a vehicle form, My head was exploding he already had the cars freaking headlights incorporated into his armour! What the hell were the writers thinking!? I felt embarrassed for the story line. I try to look past plot holes but that was one gaping huge in your face hole! |

lol! Oh man, don't even start with the plot holes |D And yeah I SERIOUSLY doubt a McLaren of all cars just happened to go past them for him to get that alt mode. I know they didn't create any pre-Earth designs (other than Megs/Predaking/Shockwave because of how expensive they were to build. I mean the show is top quality animation. I watched the extras on the DVDs and I know it took them a really really long time to create the models and to animate an episode.
I saw you got to that ep with Soundwave that I was talking about. I loved that we got to hear him speak just once and the smiley emote was the best XD I also love how he takes a disadvantage and makes turns it into his advantage as well.
That ep with Soundwave and Thirst were two of my favorite episodes in the entire series. I just love Knock Out and Starscream's interactions and to have a whole episode with that <3

HAhha yes ! Starscream and Knockout were like getting really cute there with a moment of awkward.
And I knew Soundwave would find a clever way outta there, he just never fails to come out of a situation without it being to his advantage. I love his tactic of just porting charging enemies to wherever he sees fit and does it so calmly too, Funniest was with the arachnid and her new found army. She had so much ambition then was simply ported out and was just went NNooooooo. Lesson learned , don't charge Soundwave!
Episode 23 season 2 was one of my favourites , smokescreen just running through everything including those insect warriors looking at him with such confusion
Then Megatron just throwing his soldiers off the ship and one of them wasn't even a flier, he just converted into a car then fell to his death. I was laughing
And subject matter here, Predaking! I was so waiting for him to transform, When he finally did it was very exciting. Unexpectedly I think I like his human form even more than the dragon how cool is it!
Just gotta watch one more ep. 13 I must before work or it will drive me nuts

Oh man I totally forgot about that ep, but yeah the face that Insecticon makes when Smokescreen just goes through it priceless! And how Megs just throws the car vehicons off the ship and was all "I NEED FLYERS!!!". So hilarious.
Aha! I'm glad. I didn't want to give any spoilers on his transformation (though I'm sure you already figured it out through searches). I love that he chose the time to transform to tell Starscream to stop smacking him with a rod XD I love how he acts all sophisticated though it's clear he's very naive. I wish there was more of season 3. They had a lot of good things going with it.

This is the Voyager class figure, aka the big ones (although there's a huge Ultimate class Predaking that's $60 and has a 21 inch wing span) So yeah, this Predaking figure has pretty awesome poseability and can even rotate his torso (which is a rarity in TFs because of their transforming gimmick. Only Soundwave also features any kind of torso pivoting)     Predaking comes packaged in his robot mode, and you just need to follow these few easy steps to transform him into his dragon mode...  Oh did I say a few? I meant 35. I honestly don't think even my Masterpiece Skywarp had that many steps wtf So after that, you have the dragon mode... which has the most hilariously small stubby hind legs. Other than that, he looks pretty decent. This is where the ultimate class one is better. Voyager has the more accurate robot mode and ultimate has the more accurate dragon mode.    And a zoid size comparison with a Command Wolf   And now Predaking's with my happy Decepticon family. Just need Shockwave, Airachnid and the TomyTakara Breakdown (Hasbro never made Breakdown T.T ) and I'll have all the TFP Cons. Still working on Knock Out as his figure sucked so bad that he needed a complete kitbash. Starscream's high heels makes him the tallest out of the figures XD  |

OOh they are way too cool. group photo! Soundwave and Predaking alone would make me happy. p.s does soundwave have his tentacle things?
I love the pic of Predaking and the kotowolf I died of cute , and wow that's a lot of work to make him transform! I guess it'd be something to be proud of being able to do without instructions once learned.
Seriously he looks so awesome I would not know whether to display him as beast mode or human form. Which I could only imagine would be the greatest dilemma for Transformer collectors
Oh no I am considering looking for them now.. I need someone to restrain me

Soundwave doesn't come with the tentacles, but he does come with Lazerbeak who detaches from his chest and transforms. It's pretty cute because he can sit on Soundwave's hand XD  lol Yeah I've been debating that too, but now they're coming out with another voyager one in 2014 and I want to get that one to keep in his dragon mode because of the clear wings. I will want to swap the tail pieces though. But I'm so out of space for anymore TFs or Zoids. And yes, join the hunt!  |
