never listen to that, though with zoids it tends to be pretty reliable... not so with vintage RC cars XD

Yeah, I hope that's not the case. It's not uber rare so hopefully it will stay low. There's a Gairyuki and Night Figer Blade Liger on their that started at $10 and are now over $40 @_@

thats lesson one on ebay. never. ever. EVER. Bid on something early. You ALWAYS wait till 30 seconds left. Because if you don't bid, the person who already inevitably did won't expect anything XD

30 seconds left? Pff. Do that and you'll be trying to guess what the person's max bid is, risking a loss. Trust me, I've lost several auctions because I waited too close to end time to try to place a bid. Best time is 6-12 hours, not a measly 30 seconds. I normally wait until the last or second-to-last day so that I have time to procure high bid at least once. Sometimes I bid early to watch it. Main reason I bid on that lot was to force fate to let me win one of them. XD If I bid on a lot of lots, then fate would go "You have no money! WIN THEM ALL AND SUFFER." </twisted logic>

I sneak in at last minute. ALWAYS succeeds in getting a good bid in. You just gotta refresh all the time.

Really, always? Not really the case. The problem lies in extreme bidders where the bid is $40, but their max bid is like, $100. That's happened to me on far too many occassions for me to wait til the last minute.

I do what Deathy does, keep refreshing and bid in the last second. Has never failed for me. You really can't do much with the people who randomly place a bid for a HUGE amount compared to what it was at the last second.

yeah, Deathy and Shadow have the right idea. I usually try 1 min to 30 seconds left to see how much of a max bid they have, and at 5 seconds left, bid the max I am willing to pay, thats how I do it

It's not really who has the right idea. Everyone just has their own way doing things.

It's not really who has the right idea. Everyone just has their own way doing things. Thank you. XD Just because you do it one way and it's spiffy for you doesn't mean it's right for everyone. I don't do last minute for several reasons. It's not worked well for me previously (I actually have better luck bidding in advance, like I did with the Panzer - 3 days; like I did on the recent lot - 4 days; like I did on a Fury/Stinger/Schnieder lot - 2 days; wherein I've tried last minute bids on YGO cards, much less than zoids, but struck out), and if I bid in advance, I lay down a limit for myself, and if I win, then I'm meant to. If I don't win, then I get outbid, and I won't bid again.
