I usually last-minute snipe with my max + an odd amount, ie 31.87 rather than 30 or 30.50. I find that works a liiiittle better at the end, since it drives off the sort that bid in one-dollar increments—they don't have time to waffle all "just a dollar more...". If someone else is willing to bid a huge amount, such is eBay.
I get the just bid max and walk away thing, though, it's less stressful. I wish eBay didn't hide bidder names now, I vaguely worry I'll end up in a bidding war with someone I know and facepalm later >_>;.

yeah, I know how you feel. It really depends on WHAT you are bidding on. you last minute bid on something that is VERY popular. Zoids, you don't really need to, since there isn't too much of a fight on ebay for them XD

Ah yes, I've won some just from doing that. Putting in an odd amount seems to work. My mom does that all the time. She's like a pro at ebay XD;

Ya, I've always been pretty successful with the last minute thing too, though to be fair, I also used to be the one who placed a "much higher than item is worth" bid ($300 for a Firefox that didn't even break $90 ^^

I love that one! I really love the illustrated box art over the ones that have photos of the zoids. I think that's one thing I like about the Gundam models over the zoids. The Gundam boxes are usually always illustrated <3

Yuji Kaida came back and did the Shield Liger and Desert Liger, but from then on it was Mercy Rabbit.
