If you went to see the new movie and wondered what some of the TF characters originally looked like, this is it. Decided to post this cuz I thought it was amusing to see. Some of the designs and characteristics of some of them are completely different. AutobotsOptimus PrimeBumblebee IronhideRatchetJetfireSideswipeFrom red Lamborghini to silver Edward Scissorhands ArceeWheelieThe original Wheelie was the Jar Jar Binks of Transformers with every sentence he said rhymed DecepticonsMegatronStarscreamFrom prick to mutant chicken SoundwaveRavageDevastator DemolisherDemolisher was originally from TF Armada SidewaysAnother from TF Armada The FallenMovie Fallen: Wanted to take revenge on the Earth, but couldn't until the last Prime fell (why? no idea cuz they forgot to say why. LOL PLOT HOLE!) Was one of the original 13 transformers but betrayed the rest. They weren't aloud to destroy worlds with life, but he didn't care and wanted to blow up the sun anyway to hog all the energy to himself (wait... what?) Real Fallen: Doubt he even knew what or where Earth was and more than likely didn't care. Was one of the original 13 transformers but betrayed the rest. Fascinated by the idea of cosmic destruction, The Fallen fell under the sway of the ultimate destroyer, Unicron, and he tried to help his new master by sabotaging Primus's bodily form, Cybertron. This failed, and when Unicron lost the battle against Primus, both he and The Fallen were banished to another dimension. (And he didn't blow up suns XD ) Another thing I find hilarious: In the movie, The Fallen was supposedly the head of the decepticons (for whatever reason). In the comics, the decepticons teamed up with the autobots to defeat the fallen.

haha went and saw it the day after it was released with some friends. XD Wasn't worth the $10 I paid for it. (pre-ordered tickets)
The mech battles were awesome but the lewd jokes made me cry. T.T I don't mind lewd humor at all, there was just WAY too much of it in the movie.
Same thing Ghostie said at least there were some color consistencies. XD It's interesting to see how much the character's were changed for the movie. While I can understand mechanicalizing (?) the characters and making them look more "mecha" and detailed, which makes them look more believable and real, I don't get why there appearances were altered so much! :/ I mean they're fine the way they are. XD

I still say Starscream looks like an ape. >_> Optimus wasn't ... too bad, I suppose, at least he had some simblance of his former self in there. Wheelie, on the other hand, is FUGLY. He reminds me of a demented, mechanical praying mantis, and not the good kind (IE Demantis).
And you all know what I think about Ravage. *coughBeastSoldiercough*

I don't get why there appearances were altered so much! :/ I mean they're fine the way they are. XD I think the animators were trying to make the transformations more believeable Don't forget that you can get away with a lot in anime/cartoons without it looking too weird. The original styles do look like they would've had some compatibility issues with live action. (Don't hit me TT_TT plz) Having said that, some of them didn't need the level of alteration that they got... For instance, there's no possible reason I can think off as to why they needed to give Ravage a single eye, and a mouth to put a HMM Shield Liger's to shame! Speaking of which... WTF does the new Ravage transform into anyway? I can't imagine he'd make a very good cassette tape like that... or does he transform into an MP3 player now?

Mostly for me cause he moved and acted just liked the original Ravage. Now if he didn't have a cyclops eye.... That's what I thought. It's amusing to see how much their character designs change. And heck, most of their personalities were completely altered too. Probably the most amusing one from the original show was how Jetfire and Starscream were best friends and fellow scientists before the war. For some reason the idea of Starscream being a scientist always made me laugh. *Points at Wheelie* From hereon in, I dub thee, Johnny 5! ROFL!

Just wow... why do some Autos looks like Deceptions? Like uhm... Jetfire ._.;;; I agree with ya Vig, if this can be done, then there sure as hell can be a Zoids movie. If it ever happens, let's hope to kami it's not as... f**cked as these TF designs.... original looks rules kthnx. Well some kewl little mods can be overlooked as long as it does serve a purpose...

Just wow... why do some Autos looks like Deceptions? Like uhm... Jetfire ._.;;; Well in the original cartoon, Jetfire and Starscream were friends before the war. When they went exploring one time on Earth (during the first ice age) Jetfire got separated from Starscream in a storm and crashed into the Earth. Starscream couldn't find him and returned to cybertron. While the autobots and decepticons were on earth many millions of years later, the decepticons found Jetfire and revived him. Because of their old friendship, Jetfire joined the decepticons. But Jetfire didn't like their motives and ways of doing things so he decided to change over to the Autobots. So I think they were playing off of how Jetfire started out as a decepticon. Wheelie was always an autobot, why they made him look like that in the movie i have no idea -_-b
