Well, a long time ago, when I got my Konig Wolf kit, I somehow managed to break the left cheek-armor's mounting post... it was plastic, and basically what happened is I put the cheek armor on without putting that rubber belt thing on first, and I tried to get the cheek piece off.
But, it was on pretty darn tight. So I tried twisting it, and all of the sudden, POP, the post sheered off... -_-
So then, I got a pair of needle nosed pliers to pull the post back out so I could glue it back onto the cheek piece, but that post was stuck in there, and all I managed to do was grind up that whole area... I eventually resorted to gluing the cheek piece on. And I angle that side of the Zoid away from view XD
But, has anyone else noticed this problem? Or was it just this specific model...

Think it was the batch yours must have come in, mine seems fine.
My panzer armor was similar, VERY tight fitting to the point where if I put some of the pieces together correctly without shaving them down first they bent/ warped the plastic. :/

Ya, sounds like you got a dud I'm afraid. Though my König suffered from a missing peg hole on the leg (Manufacturing fault) which meant I had to glue a piece of the armour on. Tis just the way things go unfortunately. ALSO what manufacturer did your KW come from? Hassy's known to be real crappy. >>;; Tell me about it! The end of Jager's tail still droops.

Cairo's fine...
I snapped Lupus' back mount in the first few days I had him, but he was my first zoid (command wolf) so I hadn't gotten used to being a tad more careful. The only other damage he sustained was when he fell four feet, but he pulled a Zabimaru and fell to pieces to avoid most damage.
I had a horrible nightmare where I broke Tyrann's claws and was crying, but then I woke up and almost cried in relief at it being a nightmare. XD; /useless.

oh god, you have NO IDEA how many nightmares I've had of my precious zoids models being broken... I even had one where my house was on fire, and I went into the burning wreck to get my zoids and manga, and I died... I cried for days... ^^;

I've never had any nightmares about my models, but I did recently dream that they released an HMM Liger Zero. Was pretty awesome looking. I should sketch out what I remembered XD
Oh and I've only had a few of my pegs break (mostly cuz of spray paint making it too tight *woops!*) But I seem to have problems breaking parts off my HMMs. Thank goodness for super glue.

the HMM's are fragile? oh wait, spray paint... XD

Well some parts of the HMMs are fragile, but it's mostly cuz some of the parts are so small.

how small can some of the parts be?

Yeah, often problems with Zoids are a bad batch. The most common offender is red plastic—deantler's maroon, some (but not all) Geno Breakers, etc.
Twisting is also a good way to break stuff. Get a thin metal file or sommat similar you can use the gently pry things apart along directions that don't put so much stress on them. I use that to get Zoid bits apart, it rarely fails me.

Yeah I usually cut the small pieces out with an xacto knife. Seems to work.

A sidecutter will do best at removing little parts from frames, imo. I got one recently, and it's shiny—I still have to trim off a few leftovers with a knife, but pieces are under less stress throughout.
I'm still keeping my scissors, though. Any scissors that can make it through 7-odd years of Zoids intact deserves to be resharpened and kept ;p.
