Anyone ever have problems with their PC's (or macs) that they know the problem, but they can't fix it, due to a lack of accessibility or knowledge?
I do... My favorite monitor, my prized 19" wide screen, (one of the 2)'s back light went out, but the monitor itself still works fine... Now I'm down to only 1 19" wide screen, and a 17 inch 4:3 aspect ratio LCD. I miss my second screen... And it pains me to know that it still works, just the fact that 4 small tubes that make bright white light to illuminate the screen don't, and that makes most people call it broken... I call it, temporarily disabled.
I plan on fixing it one day, but yeah... anyone else have a problem like that?

er... send it to a computer repair-er? I go to a electronic shop who takes care of our coms, and do things for us. So we've got no major problems.

yeah... no. I took one to one of those, and they were gonna charge as much as it would cost to buy another LCD entirely...
same as calling the manufacture... 200 dollars to fix an 80 dollar lcd!
