Since we started talking about it, might as well make a thread instead of clogging the other thread with it XD As some of you already know, Revoltech has some zoids under development. All they shown so far is the head of a Blade Liger. I'll be interested to see how they do the joints and the paint. The Transformers are really shiny with Starscream's blue color looking exactly like my HMM Blade Liger's. Griffon has a gloss coating on his paint that needs cleaning every now and then. Meanwhile the Evas have a semi gloss coating. So who knows what kind of paint job they'll have. I hope they make them really shiny XD This is the info so far: ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/09/revoltech-zoids-others-under.html

Figurines, I believe.
I'm excited for these, can't wait until we get some concrete pictures and release dates! ;D
It's nice to see some new life in the Zoids line, pity it's not new designs. :/ Though I'll take whatever they're going to give us! XD

Not to draw away from the thread topic. But Tomy needs to pull off something big to spark a new generation of zoiders. They need a new, innovative, and original anime that caters to a large demographic and new designs to boot. Right now they're just catering to their current fanbase which is slowly shrinking. We need the likes of another NJR era that saw both recolors of older, more popular kits and the additions of some really cool and fresh new ones. At this point I wouldn't hesitate to say that Tomy should make the line dormant with only re-releases of more popular kits (which most of us are currently paying an arm and a leg for, *cough* LZ CAS, Shadow Fox, Geno's, Fuhrer *cough*) in order to save up funds and then in a few years hit us with something big. I would be much happier with that then with the dwindling line right now. :/ The HMM's and Revoltech's could help as you know both companies are paying Tomy royalties to use the pre-existing concepts.

yeah, and then they can TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! wouldn't it be awesome if they were making a new zoids series right at this moment and nobody knew? XD There have been rumors circulating that a new anime that will cater to a more mature audience may be on the way but that's all it is, a rumor. There have been no hints at a new anime but neither have rumors in the fan base been denounced it would be nice but I personally don't think it likely with the Rebirth line on hold and less-then-stellar designs floating around. Valga Mk. II? While Valga is amazing considering it's designs and what it can do it surely doesn't hold the weight of a main stage Liger zoids or a Geno/ Dino of some sort. If a new anime or brand new model line was on the horizon surely it would have leaked by now. Then again I like being a pessimist and playing the devil's advocate. Edit: Don't get me wrong I don't want to see the line crash and zoids die. XD I think Tomy could bring zoids back to both Japan AND the US, Europe, Aussie, etc. if they go about doing it correctly.

I've heard better rumours that they plan to make an anime for Zoids dating back to their earlier days. But I heard it like 2-3 years ago and heard nothing more since then but I'm interested to see if Revoltech will revive the Zoids fanbase ;D

O.O I did not know about this... Are they models or figurines? Yep Kitsune's right. They're figures... dang I just came back from laundry and now I forget what I was going to write... ... ... OH! The revoltech line prices usually range from $5-25 on Amazon with the exception of Optimus Prime who's going for $50(ZOMGHOLYCRAP) and the most common price is $20. So at least these zoids will be affordable.

Back at the dorm now so I can take pics of my Revoltechs so you guys will know what to expect. When I came back, both Griffon and Skywarp glomped Hayate @_@ Here's the 4 Revoltechs I have: This is a size comparison between Griffon and the standard Liger Zero model How the joint works! The neck comprises of 2 small joints, one to move the neck and the other for the head. In the pic besides it are the 2 sizes the joints come in. I only had one break, but that was from Griffon glomping Hayate (the first time he did it). Last pic shows how the joints work. All it is are holes in the parts where the joints fit snugly in. Lastly, here's a close up of Megatron's leg which shows off some awesome detail. I really hope the zoids will be the same as the Transformers as far as paint and details.

On that note, it would seem that the whole thing about the new UK Zoids fell flat. Forbidden Planet were the only ones to list them, and their listings have since disappeared

Thanks for the look at Revoltechs, Shadow! I'm definitely going to pick my favorites up when they're released and the price is really reasonable too! Ghostie, yea I figured they fell threw. I'm sure you would have said something if they had been released. *sigh* Would have been nice, could have gotten the Geno's for a decent price! XD
