Some of you may not be aware of just how vast the list of Zoid lines is!
Below is a list of Zoid lines released over the years:
Mechabonica - 1982
The unsuccessful precursor to Zoids, released in Japan
Starzeta
A Spanish version of Mechabonica released in a different colour scheme by Feber.
Original American Release - OAR - 1983
Under the name of Zoids, Tomy released Mechabonica in the US.
Original Japanese Release - OJR - 1983
Tomy re-introduced Mechabonica to Japan, under their new name.
Grade ups - 1989
A sub-line to the OJR. Came with the option to install special motorised add ons.
Transfighters
A sub-line of Zoids designed to connect to Grade Ups.
Original European Release - OER - 1984
The first line of Zoids released in Europe. Contained some recoloured Zoids.
Robo Strux - RS - 1985
A line of totally re-coloured Zoids, released in the US and Canada.
1:24 Scale - 1988
Zoids released in Japan in 1:24 scale as opposed to 1:72 scale.
Zevle - 1990
Japanese re-release of the 1:24 scale Zoids, but re-coloured and with fixed pose pilots instead of posable ones.
Technozoids - TZ - 1995
North American release of re-coloured Zoids by Kenner.
Zoids2 - Z2 - 1996
Re-release of Zoids in the UK and Europe. Recoloured and with some chromed parts.
New Japanese Release
NJR - 1999 - A re-release of recoloured OJR Zoids. Also contained some brand new designs.
Customise Parts - CP
A sub-line to the NJR. Consisted of extra weapons sets that could be used to customise certain NJR Zoids.
Blox - 2001
A line of non-motorized Zoids built on little square blocks. Could be easily taken apart and fuzed with another Blox to make a new completely different Zoid, or with an NJR Zoid as an additional weapons system.
Cyber Drive Zoids - 2002
A sub-line of Remote Controlled Zoids which were mostly pre-built. Could also be controlled with a Gameboy Advance.
Panzer Tier - 2003
A second re-release of the 1:24 scale Zoids only with the box art and pilots of the Zevle.
Toys Dream Project - TDP - 2004
A line of Limited Edition Zoids released by Toys Dream Project. Specialises in Recolours of existing standard kits and re-releasing older kits.
New American Release - NAR - 2001
A line of Zoids released in North America and South-East Asia by Hasbro.
Z-Builders
Blox Zoids released by Hasbro. Contained some Hasbro exclusive designs.
New Pacific Release - NPR
Hasbro Zoids released by Tomy in Australia and South-East Asia at the same time as the NAR.
New English Release - NER - 2003
Hasbro Zoids released in the UK by Tomy.
Fuzors - FZ- 2004
A Japanese line released in conjuction with the Fuzors Anime.
Genesis - GZ (GB for Bio Zoids) - 2005
A japanese line released in conjuction with the Genesis Anime.
Neo-Blox - NBZ (LB for Legend Blox, CBZ for Custom Blox - 2006
A better version of Blox. Also consisted of Legend Blox (Previously released Zoids made smaller and on Neo Blox Chassis) and Custom Blox (Designed to combine with Neo Blox as extra weapons sets)
High-end Master Model - HMM - 2006
Joint effort between Tomy and Kotobukiya. A line of super detailed a posable versions of existing Zoids.
Evo Drive Zoids
A line of small pre-built Zoids with interchangable armours.
Zoids Graphics - 2007
A line of re-released OJR Zoids with special booklets
Zoids: Rebirth Century - 2008
A mixture of OJR re-releases and brand new designs released for the 25th anniversary of Zoids.
Zoids Anime 10th Anniversary - 2009
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Zoids anime, this line contains previously released Zoids recoloured to be anime accurate.
D-Style Zoids - 2011
Another line by Kotobukiya, D-Style isn't a Zoids line persay, more line a line of Mechs in chibi form that includes some Zoids.
