Heh, I have a logistic question: What are the sizes of the different series of Zoids kits?
I myself now have NJR, RCZ , Genesis and TDP Zoids as well as two Korean versions of smaller NJR Zoids.
When I take what I think is standard for larger (battery operated) NJR Zoids as a basis it looks like:
- Really large NJR Zoids use a longer type box. With this I mean Seismosaurus. Are there more Zoids that use such a longer type box? - RCZ are like the NJR boxes, but only about 2/3 of the height. - TDP use the same size boxes as NJR. - Korean smaller Zoid NJR boxes (Like Command Wolf) are about half of that size. Is this also for the regular small NJR Zoids? I.e., does a non-Korean Command Wolf come in the same smaller type of box? - Genesis small Zoids (I have Canory Molga as example) is about the same as the regular Small Zoids.
In addition to the above I'd like to know:
- What are the sizes for Fuzors boxes? Are there different sizes as well for small and larger Zoids? - What are the sizes for the NAR boxes? - What are the sizes of the CP packages? - What are the sizes for Blox boxes? - And finally, what are the sizes of those weird Zbuilders boxes... they look to be rather small, but I can be mistaken?

Fuzors boxes, in my experience, are pretty similar to the NJR, though the Blox and Gravity Zoids might be slightly bigger (it's been a while). NAR is mostly VERY similar, though the Zero's box is a tiny bit smaller, and Battle Cougar's mysteriously large (around the Saber Tiger/Horn/etc size). Blox boxes are similar to...hrm. A bit more cube-y answer to a couple smallish windups stacked and made a bit smaller in other dimensions? The weird Z-builders boxes are similar to that, with the larger Z-builders being a bit larger and weirder-shaped than a large windup box. I have one from Power Mantis I could attempt to un-flatten if you're really curious. CP packages are mostly quite small, about the size of the frame of parts plus a cardboard sleeve. A few of the late ones come boxed, and the boxes are again the size of their frames. The Zero CAS...hrm. They're not very thick, but reasonably large in height and width. I'd have to dig mine out for exact comparison, if you're after those. Oh yeah. Most RCZ Zoids use very similarly sized boxes. They're largeish for the Zoid in many cases. Here's my Zeekdober's with a Command Wolf: www.creativeinsanity.net/zoids/images/dober/box1.jpgwww.creativeinsanity.net/zoids/images/dober/box2.jpgThe Graphics boxes are large too, close (but not quite) to a Zero-sized box but not as thick. I've got a comparison to a Koenig Wolf I could upload if that would help.

Thanks for the eleborate reply Tilly! I think I know enough now, so no need to did out old boxes for you. The main reason why I asked is the one you can read over at Phenotype's. The mysterious Leoshop postalrates. Really pisses me off digging through sizes and prices to get it right for them, only to be charged more shipping again. Think I'll never order there again. Went to eBay instead. Costs more, but at least I know what I'm paying.
