 Felt like taking on the challenge of drawing something for someone I frequently trade with on CS, and was asked to draw and colour Flying Foxes (as in foxes with batwings, not the bats) and a regal looking male elf. The elf will be posted when I'm done... But for the Flying Fox challenge, I decided to do different species, and had a lot of fun. The background is a cyan fill with a royal blue watercolour, the easiest part to colour by far. XD Made for LimeG on ChickenSmoothie. X3 |

Thanks! Yea, the tails were kinda hard, believe it or not. Especially when it came to the Grey fox. They have longer tails than red foxes due to being an arboreal species. XD; You can't really take one fox form and copy-paste it for three different species. ETA: My references: Obviously the red fox was a bit hurried, but I based it on  Tho the legs are different because when I was drawing, I did the red from memory. The Grey (or gray) fox was the last to be drawn but the first to be coloured,  I actually did an image search both times but used that same image by accident. XD it shows how long the tail is.  Used that one for a glimpse of the ears when drawing, and ultimately for colouring so that the ears could be seen. Otherwise, I shoulda added more red to the body. |

Aaand Princy's done!  I ended up shading him and such because LimeG had someone snark at them the other day for something stupid which hurt, so I put effort to make it better. X3 I'm not too happy with the skinshading. But overall, I'm happy with how it turned out. The hair's more brown than I intended. (I was trying to go for a maroon colour.) But aside of that and shading/highlight practice, I'm pleased. ^^ And that's the phoenix hatchling. I wanted him to have something to look at and Kael, Nish's phoenix hatchling, was just begging to be used. XD |
