I'm stuck between 1 and 5. If you were really worried about fingers interrupting the flow of electricity, then I'd say go for 5, but you need some fingers up that end to help keep the membrane sturdy and to shape it properly when flying, and to help it sit right when folded up.

I'm the same with Ghostie, between 1 and 5 for the same reasons.

I'm going completely against what Ghostie and Shadow just said, sorry guys! If you wanted a fingerless design, like number 2, you maaay have to tweak the design a little bit, by making the end bit a little bit longer, so that the wings are bit bigger. Ermm.. That doesn't make much sense does it? What I mean to say is if you want a fingerless design that would work in real life, make it like a pteradactyl's wings. ..It made sense in my head but now I'm not so sure it does.

Makes sense, Pirate, but the layout of his fins/wings/tail (think Toothless) doesn't leave much space to lengthen the base to give the elbow more surface area. ^^; I like trying to poke Pterodactyl wing designs. XD Especially since I watched a documentary discussing how they flew, studying the brain cavity to see how the brain was formed and how it had a larger section for flight, it was cool. XD

Uh... not really. But I do remember they were trying to make a RC pterasaur of some sort... it was a fuzzy one and they were trying to make the arms move differently, saying that the way the wings were made, and how there were so many nerves going from the membrane to the part of the brain that controls flight... Therefore, unlike birds with their feathers and rudder-tails, the pterosaurs had to twist, pivot and maneuver the wing to create lift or drag, pitch, roll, yaw, so on, so forth. But their first attempt with the RC pterosaur, it ended up falling out of the sky because of all the fuzz and stuff they put on it to make it look real. So they had to strip nearly all their aesthetics away and try again, but the flapping mechanism jammed, so they were stuck only testing how the wings could've managed pitch and roll while it glide/fell back down to earth again.

That's interesting o.O Wonder if even the Pterosaur had keel bones like the Archaeopteryx and modern flight birds...

Not sure... They focused many on the wings... They were determined to make a correct pterasaur since the last well known one that was made used the crest as a rudder, which some pterasaurs didn't have so they were ... yea... In any case, I'll be keeping an eye out for ya. :3

XD His name is Argon Flare, named after the element that makes blue neon signs glow (Argon with mercury, supposedly) with one of the most crippling effects for electricity (solar Flare).
Because he glows blue and noms electricity. XD

Oooh! Argon, noble gas, one of the most unreactive elements in the periodic table! I haven't done Chemistry for about three weeks and already my mind's going blank o_e

That might be why it can take a lot to ruffle Argon's feathers... XD (Though somehow Shadow managed... o.O) XD Anyway... Drew out the more popular choices, #3 and #5... And after drawing them out, I like 3 even less... Looks like it has the potential to damage the fin below it. :/
