By which I mean a sentence you use to help you remember the order of something or how to spell something, like
My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets
For remembering the order of planets. (Although, this only works completely if, like me, you still consider poor Pluto to be a planet)
Or my personal favourite:
All Kangaroos Eat Hot Cereal Mostly Before Freaking
Which I use to help remember the outer Dressage Letter arrangement in 20m x 40m riding arenas (Though granted, I haven't used it in years, but it still makes me laugh)

Mine are all musical,
Every Good Boy Deserves Food
The order of the notes on the lines of the treble clef from bottom to top
Good Boys Don't Feed Animals
The order of the notes on the lines of the base clef from top to bottom
All Cows Eat Grass
The order of the notes in the spaces of the base clef from top to bottom
There was another one I had for remembering the reactivity series of metals, but I can't remember exactly how it goes, it was something about an albino zebra not liking ginger people.

Oh blimey! It's been so long since my music days I've forgotten the ones I used for that.
I only remember where the D is on the piano keys by the "Dog in the Kennel" method XD

lol I was trying to remember the AGBDF mnemonic, instead of Food we used Fruit in my class XD

ROFLMAO! I wish I'd been taught that one! That was a good chemistry lesson! It was originally, "he can't stand giddy people" but Ginger Tom was messing around that lesson, so it was changed to ginger people. My chemistry teacher only uses ginger people with our class though. Other groups may take offence XD |
