So I've been itching to do an art contest because I really want my OCs drawn and I was thinking of doing it on Gaia, since the gold there is a little incentive to get some decent work, but I only have 150K, which isn't enough to run a contest. So I thought maybe I'd do it on DA and as a prize I've do a commission for them but idk.
Any suggestions?

Uh... Hmm.... That's a toughy... I'm not really fond of Gaia or DA right now. Though I would probably be more inclined to enter a Gaia contest because there's more that could be done with gold than a sub. But that's just my opinion. *shrug*
If you decide to do it on Gaia, let me know, I'll dump my gold on you. I haven't used it for a long time.

I'm writing a manga with two others, it's my love child and we want to feature others for the splash pages, I figure that a contest is the best way to get some art that people will give up rights to and allow us to put it in as splash art (with credit given of course, but we won't have to deal with other stuff). |

Well, if you need extra gold, I only have about 15k, but I'll gladly hand it over, I've not used it for ... uh... months. Maybe a year. XD Just PM Sagorambo and I'll start a trade. ^^

I'd clarify exactly what rights people are giving up/what ones they're keeping to their art when they enter. That can be a happy fun legal thing to trip you up later if things get serious...but for informal stuff, it's just nice to know what someone's gonna do with art I draw for them and what I can do with it.
I...have no idea if I have any gold in my Gaia account. I don't think much D:. I can look later, though?

Sounds awesome! I think you'd get a lot more interest on gaia, on dA people generally (or at least I've found) aren't interested if a sub or real life stuff isn't involved, its a pain! If you run it on either I'd be interested, I'm Greater Ghost on gaia :3
