Been working on this for the past month now and I hope to get Solace done this weekend. This was originally the Black Impact Blady, but I like color so they grayscale color scheme was quickly out the door. Back when Solace was originally customized, he was one of the first zoids I ever made poseable, and therefore the joints like to break off... a lot. So I decided to to do a complete repaint and rejoint. Decided to go with Leon's color scheme just because I always loved how the Blade Liger looked red and the original custom paint he had was almost exact to Hayate's. The hardest part was making the head poseable. Mostly because I made the jaw able to open and close and have the ball joint attached to the mouth piece so I can take the head apart. Oh and he has a posey tail too! I totally don't recommend Blade Ligers or Shield Liger to be your first "make posey" zoids. They are extremely hard when it comes to the head and it's more difficult to make the feet look right. Liger Zero is probably one of the easiest zoids to make poseable.

Looking good!
Yes, I know from personal experience that butchering shield ligers for your first posey is a bad idea. Steamy constantly falls apart >_>

Thanks guys! ^^
Yeah you might have to redo the joints at some point to keep it from falling apart. It'll get worse as it gets older, or at least that's my experience with my old posey zoids that have joints like that D:

I really regret not doing the joints your way, it was just that I had spend several hours trying to get them to stick and I'm so impatient (got to work on that!). The main problem is that those joints don't seem to support the weight equally (on one side the legs are always together) and Steamy can only really do two poses without a leg falling off. Oh well, lessons for next time I guess :D'

XD Patience helps... A LOT. My way of jointing is a lot sturdier just because the pieces being super glued have more surface area to glue to. I can take up close pics of the joints if you want.
@ghostie: Oh yeah. I forgot about that too. I even bought a can of orange spray paint for the canopy XD

Looking good! I like your somewhat mute but still obvious shade of brick red... (Did that make sense? I mean versus the darkpink/lightred that I'm used to seeing on Jason as he stares down at me.)
I also like the extra details you put into it, like the grey on the ears, the extra white on the ... nose part, and extra red parts on the legs! Makes it more fun to look at. :3
Though I have to wonder... You HAD to paint an Impact bladey? D: XD Kidding. I just have an abhorrence to painting anything that is remotely unique. But honestly, I can't blame you. Your versions of the Bladey are much better. XD

lol It's actually a more of a crimson red in person. Cameras never seem to capture red properly XD
And yeah, had to paint Black Impact. I'm just not a fan of grayscale ^^;

Crimson like pink Crimson Horn Crimson, or Crimson like what we normally associate with Crimson? In any case, is it the lightred/darkpink that Hassie Bladey has?
ETA: And thus you wouldn't like Greyscale, my first revvie that I got bored and ultimately started to work on then thought I liked the silver sharpie so replaced the caps to fit and thus we know why his name is Greyscale. XD

XD It's a nice dark crimson.
lol My main reason for not keeping the grayscale was because I already painted Shadow in pretty much grayscale and I didn't want two grayscale Blade Ligers XD

Leon would be proud to pilot that Blade Liger.
Really good work, it always amazed me how much different painting details make for custom zoids.
(the red color looks a little purple on my mac's screen)
