Due to a large volcanic eruption in Iceland which has caused an ash cloud to drift over Northern Europe the airspace of the United Kingdom has been closed until further notice. That'll mean that any mail into the UK from the US or Australia will have to go by ship or be postponed. This also means that if Ghostie was going to be sending you anything, it's going to be delayed as she will probably post here later. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8621407.stm

Ya, sorry guys ^^; I don't want it to get caught in the backlog.
Dang... I was waiting for some stuff from Grimm and WolfTiger. I hope it got into the UK before the airspace closure.

Airspace closed until 0100 BST Saturday now. The volcano seems to have stopped producing ash clouds in volume now so hopefully what is over us will start clearing soon and business can return to normal. Of course, that is unless she starts up again Celtic, I presume that there is still such a thing as sending mail by ship, but you'd better look into that, knowing how mankind likes to leap with both feet into modern technology and then complain when that technology fails and he has no back-up, I wouldn't be surprised if mail by ship was phased out a while ago.

Ya, Wiki, best to wait for now. I don't trust shipping by ship anyway even if it does still exist XD

Shipping by sea exists, it's been an option here for a while. I'm just lazy. XD
Used to ship by sea to ZFT Lori because it was cheaper. It took forever though.

urk... I just dropped the package for Ghostliger at post office a few days ago. The good news is, I am fairly certain it not ready to leave US yet, (I'm not certain that it even left my state yet. Post services can be slow that way.)
If volcanic cloud blows over soon, probably the package won't be delay much.

As UK airspace remains closed in most areas some Brits are getting desperate for their holiday in the Costa Del Sol: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkAMnHhBwJkSome Scottish airports and Irish airports are open until tomorrow but with reports of another ash cloud inbound, it's anyones best guess when this will be over. I've got a workmate supposed to be going to Vegas tomorrow...she is not going to be best pleased...

You've gotta love those birdman contests. Did you hear where the first flight from Glasgow airport was going to? (honest to god, this is true) It flew to Iceland

Throughout all of this Iceland has not been affected at all! I mean, aside from the evacuations (which were done long before the volcano moved up into major gear) its airlines have been running normally. So, honestly, they go bankrupt and then suddenly Iceland catches fire...insurance job, I'm telling ya!
