Okay, so I'm searching for the best way to strip chrome from a Claw (If you need to ask why, where the fuck've you been for the past year or so?) and, in using the one I got recently that's not suitable for the purpose as a test, I discovered a pretty black plastic under it, nothing like the DCS-J. So, it's going to take a while for me to get the chrome off completely (It seems to be able to do more when left by itself for 24 hrs than I can from half an hours scrubbing) But eventually it will be the Claw Jet.    Okay, so nothing flashy yet, but, depending on how I feel when it's done, I may try to make a Claw DCS-J out of it, if Desert Liger doesn't mind parting with his Beam Cannon set. |

It doesn't show in the photos, but it's got a sort of greenish tint to it. But, what gets me is that you always see Ghost stripped Z2s, but never the other colours. My other Claw has gold under it, but I'm not stripping him, since he's a display piece. |

Greenish tint eh. Kinda like the Helcat Noir?
XD Just your luck to get one that wasn't ghost underneath. I didn't realize they had different colors as a base. I figured they would all have black to make the chrome shine better.

I think the general idea was "We're going to chrome it, use whatever leftover plastic you can get your hands on"
My Z2 Ultra is ghost underneath. Some of the chrome's worn off his belly.

Ya, he's worth getting!
Saves money. Use up some of that waste plastic.
Ya. He's sun damaged though, so if I get another one some day, I'll strip him.
BTW the head pieces are almost done ^^

Ah that works. Just got to be patient then. Oh awesome! I can't wait to see how this is going to turn out. If it's green tinted, it should look great with the lime and blue. It'll be like a Night fight Shieldy  |

Okay, thunderstorm removes the distraction of computers and TV, so I got on with this instead.   He's not totally done, but he came out better than I thought! Still got some of the yellow coating to remove though, and his previous owner glued the dorsal gun so it won't fold down, so I've had to leave that off. That and he required an entire cap set replacement. His white caps were sun bleached and brittle, and the closest match I could find were Blade Ligers. |

I should photograph him next to Night Fight Bladey when I can get round to getting him out the box.
Okay then, it's official, this is now the Shield Liger Forest and Night Fight Type.
Oh, and I think the head plastic was moulded with some allowance for the chrome, since, now it's gone, the head practically falls apart when the canopy is open ^^;
