It's extremely late, but I've posted it like I said I would XD

Originally, this Saix was kept standard colour, but with purple instead of red. After finding some nice sandy coloured paint however, I just couldn't resist repainting him. I also discovered this random tub of gold, which has a much nicer colour than the Humbrol I'd been using before, so I stuck some of that on him too.

Some of the paintwork has flaked off from one of his booster fins. I keep meaning to repaint that, but sadly I seem to have misplaced the sandy paint.

Aside from the paintwork, I decided to give him a little extra firepower by placing a Shield Liger tail gun on his chest hardpoint, then, just before taking the photos, I made one extra little bit of customizing by cutting that irritating excess plastic from between his claws. Lightning Saix owners should know what I mean XD

Come to think of it , Lightning saix would be a perfect desert zoid.. being so freaking fast getting through it would be much quicker and not exactly sure how much the saix weighs but it sure looks light weight meaning it'd be easier to run on loose sand too due to less sinkage
