Maybe this is dumb of me to think about everytime a tornado hits Indiana, or when a hurricane hits the coast of Florida, but I do, so Imma ask you, in the event that a natural disaster was coming your way (be it tornado, earthquake, hurricane, flood or fire) what would you save (besides for obvious reasons, your family)?
Everytime we rush to the basement to during a tornado warning, I run upstairs and grab the box that has every single piece of artwork I've ever done and I put inside the top shelf of our basement closet. Because I don't want it to be destroyed in the tornado or in a flood in the basement. I think more than anything, I realize that artwork is irreplaceable. My other collections, while potentially hard to recover and expensive, are recoverable. I may not get all the pieces back, but I'm sure I could find most of my Zoids on eBay, possibly my Sailor Moon stuff (you think finding Zoids is hard, try Sailor Moon dolls these days D: ) and my .hack collection and Fruits Basket collection are still easy to get.
