Well Hayate's in the need of a fix up and I didn't know what to do with my extra HMM Saber, soooo I thought why not. Still have a lot of modding to do but Hayate's armor fits on it really well. Heck the piece that holds the blades stay on better even without glue. The hardest part will be modding the body pieces to fit the slimmer HMM body. Already made a new poseable tail with some wire. I also want to mod the femur so it doesn't comes down so ridiculously low. Seriously, the ligers barely have a femur and the sabers have a super long femur. WTF Kotobukiya?

"With today's technology, we will rebuild him stronger and faster." Um, I not sure that I got the quote right, it's but fitting for Hayate.
He is looking really good, my only quibble is the wire use for the tail looks too thin. Check out the local hardware stores, they usually have wires in all kind of sizes.

That quote does fit Hayate very well ;D
Yeah it's a bit thin, but I used it anyway because it fit perfectly in the hole where Saber's tail fit in and the piece I found to connect the tail end piece to. Also I try to avoid buying things if I can just use something else ^^;

Hayate is looking lively there! How did you remove the paint? I'm always looking for ways to remove paint, I have few customs could use a re-do.

Hayate's original paint job was with craft acrylic and I found if I soaked the parts in water, I can use a scrub brush and just brush the paint off. It worked good on the red and gold pieces, but not so much with the black. Then I also just used a dremel tool to sand off the paint, then used a very fine sandpaper to make the parts all nice and smooth again. Either way's a pain and takes a lot of time and patience.
