These aren't so much "rules" as "strong suggestions". They make things smoother and more enjoyable for everyone! Please read all the rules This includes going to each board and reading the threads labeled "Rules for this Board" stickied at the top of each board. This will help you figure out what belongs in each thread and what doesn't. Not reading the rules is not an excuse for breaking them. Introduce yourself If you haven't already, head over to the Introduction Board and introduce yourself! It helps everyone get to know a bit more about you, your likes, dislikes and so on. This'll help you to make friends and allow us to properly welcome you to the forum. Post as soon as you can Any accounts with a zero-post count that have not logged in in over a month risk being deleted. This is to help keep the member list tidy and delete accounts made by bots. Please note that spam posts do not count as posts to stop you being deleted. This is not a ban! You are more than welcome to create a new account, however if you risk it being deleted again if you don't post and don't log in in over a month again Have fun! This should be a fun and friendly forum, just so long as you respect everyone and follow the rules!

Font style When posting on TZ you will notice there are options to change the size, colour, type and alignment of the font. This is not prohibited, however we do ask that you don't adopt a personal style and use it for all your posts as per GaiaOnline. Please keep to the defaults to keep the forum neat and easy to read, and use the different settings for special moments only. Capital Letters Please note that typing a sentence in all capital letters IS THE UNIVERSAL INTERNET EQUIVALENT OF SHOUTING and that this will likely have an effect on how people view your post. Generally italics should be used for stressing things without shouting. If you are excited about something the odd word is fine, but please not entire posts or sentences Spelling and Grammar On average, people will respect you more if you maintain a good level of spelling and grammar throughout your posts. If in doubt, there is a spell checker provided right next to the "Post" and "Preview" buttons. We urge you to use it. Please note that we do know everyone makes typos, and the occasional Meme word is fine too, as long as you don't do it all the time. Flaming We know that not everyone gets on, that's just human, but please try to keep the atmosphere around here a pleasant one. The staff may need to be reminded of this rule occasionally, please do so. "What's a <insert Zoid here>" Everyone is entitled to ask questions, however, when wanting to know what a Zoid you've never heard of before looks like, we do recommend you use a little website by the name of Google to find out what you can before asking here. Asking once or twice isn't a bad thing, but it quickly becomes irritating if you seem reliant on others to look up the information for you. Thread Hijacking/ThreadjackingDo not post something in a thread that is completely unrelated to the thread as a whole. Examples would be going to a Trading thread and posting that you have updated a fanfiction, or going to a collection thread and posting about something funny you saw on the internet. Exemptions of this are as follows: 1) if what you are saying is relevant to a previous post ("I used a special type of paint" "I prefer sharpies to paint") or 2) if it is in the Random Spam Thread

Discussion of Religion or Politics is banned from the forum, as it can cause very messy and sometimes offensive debates.
Also please note that hentai is also a banned subject. A bit of innuendo is fine, but let's not turn this forum into a porn forum please.

Now whenever anyone has a site/service/story/etc, of course they want to promote it. However, TZ is not an advertisment board. Please do not post links all over the place. All ads should be limited to one thread and go in the General Board, with the following exceptions. Zoids fan sites or collection sites belonging to youAt this point in time these belong in your collection thread. This may be looked at later, but for now that's where they go. If you don't have a collection thread, then start one! Zoids services, i.e. MOs, resin part casting, Chroming, etcThese belong in the Member's selling and trading board. You may also use your signatures to advertise. Please make note of the following: 1) Please do not post a thread to promote another thread on the board. (You may however advertise this in your sig) 2) Remember the 'no thread hijacking' rule. You can't post an irrelevant advertisement in a thread, such as posting a fanfic update in a trading thread. 3) Please don't PM other members with solicitations or advertisements. 4) Please make sure what you're promoting doesn't include anything from the banned topics list.

At this present point in time we have no rules whatsoever on posting in old threads.
If you have something you wish to add to an older thread, feel free.

Pictures in threads There's no limit to height, but any picture posted in a thread cannot exceed 800 pixels in width. This is to avoid stretching the page.
If for whatever reason you can't limit your picture to 800 wide, then please post it as a URL link instead. Thanks to Madiba we now have a script in place to automatically resize your pics
Pictures in signatures Please keep these to a height of 200 pixels high and 700 pixels wide. Signatures exceeding this limit will be removed.

As you may or may not know, TZ has an option to embed youtube videos (Using either or the "tube" button provided above the message box)
While this is a neat little feature we do ask that you limit to two videos embedded per post.
If you wish to embed more by all means you may make extra posts. The reason for this is simply to limit the amount of videos per page. Each page contains 15 posts, which means if everyone were to post 4 videos or more per post, we would end up with a lagging total of 60 videos or more per page.
