Photos from the HMM Zoids Modeller's meetingIncludes confirmation of release dates for Berserk Fuhrer and Liger Zero Panzer (Aug/Jun respectively) plus details of reissues and a sneak peak at a new item. Am I the only one thinking that gun in the preview looks like it's from Shadow Fox? Or am I just wishful thinking?

It might be the shadowfox's gun! o.o Seems a bit different, but then again things are so different between Tomy and HMM. XD

That Panzer... looks absolutely AMAZING! I esp love how the gun folds back \(*▽*)/
Fury also looks really awesome, though someone squashed his face XD;
And yeah, definitely looks like the Shadow Fox's gattling gun. The gears on the side are a dead give away.

Fury also looks really awesome, though someone squashed his face XD; Here's hoping that bit doesn't translate to the kit.

Yeah the concept art and the final model does always look really different, so here's hoping. I know Liger Zero looked liked it had a squashed face in the concept art too (or at least I thought it did XD; )

Also, it looks as if they are making the Fury much like they did the Liger Zero. Im hoping we get armor permutations like we did Zero!! ;D

Oooh, still go for your posable Shadow Fox. No matter how many Zoids get HMM'd it's always good to see hard work done on a conversion.

I still prefer to see customs from the original motorized kits. I like to see the creative solutions that a Zoider finds in adding flexibility to the base motorized model.
The HMMs are very nice products. And they offer Zoid collectors an option to experience Zoids from a highly detailed, and static model. Just because a Zoid has been given the HMM treatment, it does not mean to me that a motorized Zoid that is customized, or given the flexy treatment will not be any less appreciated.
I will always have a preference for the motorized kits, and the customs and flexy Zoids that come from them. For the HMMs it's a chance for modelers to go crazy with paint and hyper-detailing.
In short, I think there's plenty of room for both lines in the fandom.

Agreed with Ghostie and Dee. Even though I have two HMM Snipers (normal and Naomi) I still like Mitchel - my second zoid ever and first to be flexied. I put hard work into him and when other kitbashers only flexied the main joints, I had fun trying to add a bit to the tail for some added posability. That and the way Mitchel was easily put back together (Allowing for a ridiculous picture that I've lost and need to find again, where he holds his own head and quotes Shakespeare), unlike the HMMs where something falling off could be bad... (Mirage is actually broken in one place, I need to glue it.) And their inability to stay together (bloody Mirage's tail) and greater risk for breakage.
I will not deny that the five days it took to put Mirage together will always be the happiest five days of my life, and I will not say that I don't absolutely love the detail in the HMM. XD Part of the reason it took so long making Mirage was because of me stopping at every completed section (Blade hydraulics, toes, heart/core, head, main body) and going "OOOH! It does like THIS! *redoes redoes redoes redoes redoes*"
But that doesn't mean that flexied zoids are any less awesome. Flexing a motorzoid takes great skill and patience, especially the bigger ones like Blade Liger. (I've only ever done Mitchel and Gijgeju the Diloforce - who kinda flunked with how small he is.) I will always admire a good flexi work. Even if I don't say it or forget to comment. XD; Cos I do that a lot. ._.;

Celtor, i would love to see your customized Gunsniper sometime! I just find it so odd that Koto feels the need to redo the zoids in their own flare. They miss some huge details, such as the dual piston design in the front legs of the Shield/Blade liger, the width of the shield liger's head, the tail guns, 6 toes on the Iron Kong, and even the neck in the original releases of the Genos. Not hard stuff to do... I even went to my HMM Geno and modified the heck out of his neck and head to get him to do a straight CPC attack pose, just because it bugged me so bad. I love the zoids line and the imagination that must have gone into the original designs floors me. I just hope they do future models justice and offer some power to the original. So far, ive been impressed with the gunsniper, sabre tiger, and liger zero. Shadow fox and Fury are HUGE sellers that will gladly earn $200 from my wallet if they are done right. If not, i'll be just fine modifying these old Tomy/Hasbro kits to my liking. I'll live, but who doesnt like something new to work on?

In regard's to the Shield Liger's piston design, iirc the original model only had one piston and I reckon this is the one they used for a reference when designing the HMM. It only had two in the anime.

Yea one thing I didn't like about the gunsniper HMM was that the hand didn't move like Tomy's so that the Tomy Gunsniper could point wherein the HMM sniper couldn't. XD And currently Mitchell has an injury i need to repair. I'll see if I can find old pictures some time. X3

It only had two in the anime. You are correct about that, but i am not sure if the tomy model was supposed to be like that so it would be easier to build or what. I wouldnt be able to comment further since i have never seen the original Manga/Comics. *resigns argument* haha.
