Shadow Saix

so i rummaged around in my attic yesterday and pulled a gravity saix out of the debris. honestly i was amazed i found anything in that death trap!

well the saix was the same neon orange as it started with (it was the original hasbro release, not the fuzors version) and i thought "good lord that's ugly!" so i went out to the local craft store and picked up a 2oz black acrylic and a 2oz silver enamel and a new pack of brushes and a cool box of exacto knives. cost me round 20 bucks for the whole thing

i got home and disassembled the saix and gave it a nice black coat. then i did silver detailing. all in all a terrific first custom (repaint/kit-mash)









at this point something seemed wrong... then i realized i had my camera set to low-rez, so i switched to 1080p ;D















so wadya think?

Nice work. It looks very retro-futuristic if that makes any sense XD

Was hoping to pick up a Gravity Saix during the great UK Hasbro cast off, but all I could find was Gravity Ptera and Gravity Wolf and a big sign that said Gravity Saix £3, but no actual Saix.

ya he's O.K. but i think the wolf is cooler (from the pics) either way with the new paint job he looks alot more realistic. i think i'm gunna go out to the craft shop 2day to pick up some glow in the dark paint to fix him up a bit more though

i think i may have to re-name this thread ive done ANOTHER re-paint and he's become a dark saix, complete with glowing green details ;D

thanks the new re-paint has even more minute details highlighted in green so it should look a bit more realistic.

my only problem with the gravity saix is the lack of details actually. the new HMMs should fix that problem though.

my liger zero is shipping in from korea now so that should be fun i lost the bidding war for the liger zero X though... i'm thinking of getting the HMM berserk fuhrer when he comes out... and modding it so it has no eggbeaters (although i'm actually becoming partial to them now )

Heh, yea, those eggbeaters grow on you. XD I was only mildly 'woo, strange thing thar' when i saw them. But the more I saw them, then when I got my own Fury, I was like "WOOO! Let me put you on my konig and my shadowfox and my command wolf and this and that and the other..." XD;
