Every once in a while I head over to Viz Media's website to check up on the news, see what new anime and manga series are being serialized here in America and such. One of the press releases announced an new Viz site for Europe and out of curiosity I went to check it out and found this: www.vizeurope.com/uk/property/zoidsgenesisIt seems at least Europe for the moment will be getting a Genesis Dub! There's hope to a model line as one of the tabs says "Merchandising" which can't mean DVD's as it's next to a 'DVD' tab! Unfortunately when your arrow is held over it, it just shows "coming soon" so we'll have to wait for more details... *edits* It also seems like it will be getting TV time too since it says broadcasters to be announced. At least in Europe!  |

Would be awesome if they finally dubbed it and aired it. I know Viz Media got the license for it back in 2007 for toonami, but never did anything with it.
I know Transformers Animated is finishing up. Would be awesome if Genesis was its replacement ;D

I personally don't know or care if this is real or fake. If it is real, then yay for merchandising. If it is fake, then yay for no mauling translation.

I don't think it's fake as it was on an official Viz Media website that was directed from the official American one. I don't think Viz would pull that much of a trick on us...
Yea the names got killed. Ghostie if you watch the preview it's thankfully still pronounced Rujji. Yes, Zailin and Digardo! xD
I hope we get some models! :/ I'm not exactly up to paying 60-100 USD for a murasame liger or one of it's evolts! God I'll even import from Europe if I have to! Probably cheaper than the prices we're seeing for some of them now!

I'm a bit skeptical—not that it's a fake, that they'll actually get off their butts and do something with it this time...come on, Viz. It'd be nice to see a Genesis dub in SOME form, I tend to like the Zoids ones D:.

My concern lies in how htey're going to handle the last part of the series, what with the souls and stuff. Cos you know how they tweak things to be politically correct or whatever... *shrug*

Unfortunately the processor on my laptop's begun to keel over, so I'll have to wait til I next get on the desktop to watch the trailer.
I'm sooo never going to be able to hear the word Speedos without cracking up again O.O
But yeah, as Kitsunefyn said, if it's from an official Viz site, what would Viz have to gain by posting fake information?

I'm with Kitsune. YAY MERCHANDISING! Would be great if Hasbro would start producing them again. I remember back in the day when you could get a Saber Tiger from walmart for only 10 USD. Ah, the good old days.
Don't really care how the translation is, though Speedos....
I just want a translation so I can watch it again (I mostly just listen while working on stuff)
I think it's going to be hilarious to see how much they cut stuff out or change things (Hiltz kicking guy off cliff LOLZ!)
