Not with the NJR/NAR. The NJR was released first in 1999, and was followed by the NAR 2 years later in 2001.
The one I believe you were thinking of was the OAR, which were repackaged and renamed from the failed Japanese Mechabonica line.
Officially I think they say Zoids started in America, because they weren't named Zoids til then.

Mechasdioz does chromes but I'm sure you guys have seen the prices they're asking for them, I'm sure leoshop wasn't asking $400 for a chromed zoid. >.> They do a nice job and even have custom packaging but I could never spend that much on a fan-made zoid.

Leoshop should start up again, from what I've heard mechazdioz has permission from tomy to produce chromies, leoshop should do the same. Wouldn't mind a few TZ exclusives.

Yeah, mechadioz' chromes are...a mite overexpensive. I miss Leoshop's custom jobs so bad D:.
