Yea, like "bloody" is a swearword in England/Australia but not US, "Damn" is a swearword in US, though a lesser one. There are times were lower rated shows will allow a damn to slip through... And sometimes shows that use even the word "damn" have a warning that there is offensive language that might not be suitable for children.
Think of it as the American Bloody. XD
