Its come to my attention that just about everyone on this forum owns or loves cats. I think our feline friends need their own topic, wouldn't you agree? My cat is called Millie, she's tortoiseshell and white and we got her from the Cats Protection League, so I haven't got a clue how old she is. She's shaped like a barrel, has a really saggy belly and is quite possibly the stupidest animal in the world. Care to share your daft-cat stories :3?

lolz at pic. Well since I don't have a cat, I'll just tell a story of my friend's cat Topaz (aka man cat... who whines like a sissy). When they had their old microwave, Topaz would always lay on top of it. Well the one time she accidentally caught Topaz's tail when she shut the microwave door and he did his sissy whine XD Didn't learn from it since he still sat on it, but now that they got a new microwave, he's now longer aloud to lounge on it ^^;

Cat stories! I have a lot of them. Back when we lived in Boone, before we got Mikey (so a loooong while ago), we had three cats: Fred, Princess and Bud.
Well... Princess went to play in a plastic bag... when Fred saw her and pounced on her. She tore through the plastic bag and tore through the house, bag trapped around her middle (I was in the kitchen working on homework so had no idea what this SSHSJSKSHSHSKSHKSHSKHSSSHSHSHS noise was as she tore around with the bag rustling madly around her). Inadvertently she chased Fred around, startled Bud and soon all three cats where spazzing out through the house as the "mad plastic demon" rattled in their ears until Bud took off and hid in mom's room and Princess and Fred went into Anna's room and we got the bag off Princess.
About an hour later, she and Fred were alright, but Bud was slinking around, searching for the white mad plastic demon. XD
Mikey used to purr when we put a blinking rudolph nose on him. Oh, and once Mom and Anna taped his whiskers to his face so he walked around backwards in circles... Sadly, I missed that one. XD
Irvine ... hmmm, he's a big pansy. He hides under the blanket during thunderstorms. XD Peaches whines and drools, and Jewel is just psycho. XD

Thats a lot of cats! Good story though ;D
Reminds me of one from when we first got Millie and she'd just gotten settled in. Me and mum were sat in the kitchen and Millie wanders in with a plastic bag around her neck, my mum tells me off for putting a bag on the cat and I tell her it wasn't me. Millie comes in with different plastic bags every few days and I always get the blame for it, UNTIL, one day, I'm sat having a chat and a cup of tea with mum in the kitchen and there's a bag hanging off a chair by one of the handles, the other one is trailing on the floor. Millie comes into the room, goes up to the bag, sticks her head through the handle and walks off. My mum got plenty of "I told you so"s that day.

I have 2 19 year old cats, one Brit Short Hair and the other Brit Longhair (no they don't drink tea or eat crumpets XD), they're sisters. Had them since I was young and they're still alive and kicking. Tho I have concerns for the long hair... I don't know which cat did the nasty mess on the floor.
As for funny stories. Tabitha (long hair) used to be so fat that when she tried to jump onto high metal fences, you'd hear this KLONK KLONK KLONK when she was trying to run her back feet up while gripping onto the edge. She was such a dag. And never learns she seriously can't climb high fences XD
They're now kept in a safe cat run, so we can bring them indoors during cold weathers/rain as they're quite old. I can't help feeling that Tabs may be going first (I can see/feel these occurrences. Sometimes when I touch her, I just see it ^^; )

Aww, it hurts putting cats down, I'm sorry. *hugs* I had to put Mikey down 11 days before my 16th birthday. I had been praying he'd at least last until I turned 16, but... wasn't to be. (He got terribly sick. We now think it's an enlarged heart because my uncle's cat who had an enlarged heart had the same problems shortly before he died, too.) Now we only have three... My aunt kept the Boone kitties, but none of them are alive anymore. Bud was first to go, then Fred, then Ice (a cat she got after we left), then Princess, leaving none but the horrible munchkin who is a devil cat, but fun to pick on. (I can stand ten feet away from the cat, hold up my hand and she hisses. XD) But my aunt fosters so we get stories of her kitties. Leo is a HUGE orange fluffy cat that has the face of a lion. Hence his name. XD But he's such a wussy... XD

Cats on doors, I have never seen that before, though one of my old cats, Dash, had a knack for opening doors. One time I was in the utility room (or cat's kitchen, as we like to call it) with him and the door was closed, at the time we had guinea pigs, who were inside for the winter. Anyway, he jumps up onto this big box, then onto the guinea pig hutch, stands on his back legs and pulls the handle down. And when you put him away at night, it was always fun to stand and watch the kitchen door for a little while, sometimes you'd just see the handle going down slowly and then Dash would come trotting out and run upstairs. I may have said this before, but your cat is so adorable Celtic! And that video's just reminding me of this little incident involving Millie and a paper bag

Lol, Tig's a door opener too. But he never does it when people are watching. We just hear this thunk thunk thunk from the kitchen.
I've seen him do it once though, when he left a kill outside and was desperate to get it, but I didn't have a camera on me.
The sound's messed up on this one. Electric says "That was clever" before Merlyn's action. It never used to be like that.
