I bet you never thought you'd be hearing about this guy again! The last time I called him poseable, I will admit that I was telling tales. Steamy could move between two poses, awkward and fallen over, anything else and a leg would fall off, then the feet kept falling off and it was a bit of a nightmare. So, instead of proudly on display, Steamy's been lying in pieces below a black bandanna on my windowsill. Well, not any more!
Although there are still a few dodgy joins and I'm trying to find a way to attach the blades without them falling off all the time, at least he can pose, and we also have another lovely little change. Though first, here's proof of posing!
Its more of a headstand than an handstand, but hey, normal zoids can't do that either! Also, you'll notice further proof of broken canopy here, I have the other piece of the canopy, I just haven't gotten round to fixing it.
If you look closely you'll notice he's had his nails painted since the last time you saw him, what a girl.
Oh, hey, is that a painted canopy? You bet! I bought transparent blue paint as Ghostie said, but it ended up turning marmite brown and non-transparent instead of dark grey. I actually think I prefer it to a grey canopy though. The gold bits were added later.
Just posin'.
Next on the list, find a way to attach the blades properly and maybe work on the middle joints in the front legs. It irritates me that that join will only go one way, but I need to find a way to flex that will still hold Steamy's weight. Finally, posing the jaw and maybe the rest of the head, the only problem there is that I may have accidentally glued the chassis shut.
