Just something I've been thinking of for a while, I wanted to make a steampunk liger, but its rather difficult to think of what to do. I was going to attach chimneys and junk to it but that seemed too difficult. Anyway this is what I've got so far! I want him to have a couple of pointy lance/sword things, for now he'll just have to settle for a very sharp pencil. He's going to be gold on the blue bits, but I can't think of what colour to do the main body and legs, any ideas? Also, does anyone have a link to the tutorial for making posey zoids? I keep losing it :/ Shopping ListBlack spraypaint
Cheap brushes
- Meshy wire
- Lance/swordy things
Silver paint
- Steal a glue gun

Looking good so far. Bronze, black, copper, silver. Those are all good steampunk colors. I just looked up steampunk pics on deviantart for refs and colors for my steampunkish liger ;3
Hilariously enough, my steampunk liger is also a Shield Liger XD

I better add super glue to the shopping list, that or borrow a glue gun from school.
Thanks a lot Celtic!
@shadow Blade I'm still determined to get some gold on there somehow though! Thanks :3
Fair enough! I have the excuse that shield ligers are the only type I won't have to import if I mess it up!

Oooh, looking forward to seeing how this turns out! Fair enough! I have the excuse that shield ligers are the only type I won't have to import if I mess it up! Wait... there are still places in England that have Zoids? O.O Where? The last time I saw a Zoid in a shop was a single Hasbro Dimetra-Ptera at Lowestoft. Or are you talking about eBay UK? Although that does remind me of the toyshop near Gt Yarmouth seafront. They have stickers that have RRP, then under that, the price they're charging to show that they're cheaper. A few years back they had an NER Zaber Fang. The RRP box was empty. The reason? Their price was £19.99, RRP for Zaber was £14.99. It made me lol, walk back out off the shop without buying a single thing, head up to the Woolies in town, and buy a Zaber for RRP, with a free Shieldy thrown in on BOGOF

Because of UK bidding laws I still can't buy stuff on eBay! You can buy nonimported shield ligers from amazon UK though, I think they're shipped directly from Tomy's UK headquarters, they also do zabre fangs, hasbro command wolf irvines (though I managed to get a tomy one for £8) and a few blox and gravity zoids.
God I miss woolies!

Planning to get a Redler soon for visiting wales at the end of march! ;D And that Shield Liger looks awesome so far! Can't wait to see it when it's done!

Yeah, the choice is a bit rubbish, but they're priced really nicely. Another website which has a pretty good choice of UK (and Japanese) zoids is this one, I've never actually ordered anything from there, but all of their shipping is tracked. Thanks alot guys! Anyway, next update, also, I am never EVER making a poseable zoid again after this =_=

I've tried that website before, all of the zoids are sold out And OMG you have the EXACT same knife my dad has ...I'm sorry I actually have no idea what I found so amazing about that XD The shield liger looks good! Although I don't think i'll ever try making a model posable. I would die trying to XD

yeah, this knife is my dad's, its about 20 years old and its been used so much that the blade is serated XD He does have another newer one, but the blade on that one's blunt.
My right hand is red and the bit just below my right index finger is really sore!

Yeah making zoids poseable is a lot of work. I find Shield Ligers and Blade Ligers the most challenging. I can tell you that your ball joints on the paws are way too high. I actually do it a different way then Vega does, and I think it looks more natural. I haven't added the side pieces yet, but at least that means you can see where the joint connector is placed.

awwh hell, and I spent forever trying to get those joints to stay in place! Thanks a lot though.
All I'm thinking now is "why on earth didn't I save up for a HMM shield liger?".... Although to be honest, I find the HMM shieldies really weird looking.

Shadow, you should make a flexi tut too... o.o
I haven't tried making big things flexi yet, though Hydra might be. The only thing I did was Mitchell my Gunsniper. I started on Greyscale, but I didn't have the caps at the time so he's just standing there, motorless. XD
When I made Mitchel flexi, I did more than Vega because I even gave his tail a bit of bend. XD
Poor mitchell, though, the cap that held his right leg to the body fell off and I don't know where my superglue is. :/
