ooh, with consoles and stuff, I was only allowed portable ones and even then, I always ended up skipping every other generation. ie. Gameboy Pocket, skipped GBC, Gameboy Advance, skipped SP, skipped original DS, DS Lite. Big consoles.. We had a Sega Megadrive, but that was my brother's and we got a PS2 a while later, also my brother's. We only got the Wii (although I'm questioning getting a wii now) because me and my sister saved for ages to get one!

On the subject of those commissions, I've had a commissioner like that recently. He wants to send the cash to me in the mail, but there are a few problems with that: 1. He lives in America, so he'd be sending me dollars, I can't use dollars 2. He could convert it, but since it's such a small amount he'd be losing more than he was paying me. 3. If he didn't convert it, I'd be losing out. Bah. Don't you dare let him send it in dollars. He wants the commish, you stated the price, so he should pay it exactly. Consolewise, I think the Megadrive and the Gamecube was the only ones really bought for me. The rest I bought or saved for. Mum bought a Wii, claiming it's for both of us, but I fail to see how much use I can get out of it when I'm only other theirs once every two weeks.

There are places that'd convert it there surely, like we have the Post Office.

I'm not so sure that they'd convert such a small amount (my commissions are £2 each). I'm not going to press it, if he can convert it fair enough, though to be honest, I don't really want to be giving my address to an almost-complete stranger.

On the subject of getting stuff, electronics wise. I got my walkman as a christmas gift, I got my gameboy for doing yardwork. I saved up to buy my gamecube. I got a cell phone once I was able to drive and/or because i needed the ability to call my family to pick me up from after-school activities.
Now, on the subject of MP3 players. I hate my sister for many reasons. One of them being she's a spoiled brat. My sister can't keep an electronics alive for an extended amount of times. She broke her walkman, so my mom bought her an MP3 player. My walkman outlived hers by two years, so I finally worked up the courage to ask for an MP3 player for christmas. What does my sister do? Trashes her MP3 player so she gets a new one too. Ammy-chan MP3 player count: 1 sister: 2 About a year later, my sister drops a stiletto (shoe) onto her MP3 player, breaks the screen causing it to still work but be unreadable. My mom punishes her for a few months by not getting her a new one. Right before spring break that year, my mom got a good deal on a pair of 8gb MP3 (buy one get one 1/2 off). Score Me: 2 Sister: 3 It's been two years, and she's broken that one. What did she ask for Christmas? Another one and she got it, naturally. So now the scores 2 to 4. Now, I'm buying myself a 16gb one with my own money, not because mine's broken but because it's out-of-date and it crashes alot because there are no more firmware updates for it.
My sister also has the worst spending habits. She's never saved her money ever, she just blows it all off. At least at some point in my life, I managed to save up $150 to buy my gamecube and a memory card.

Wow... o.o
I hate it when parents are so nice to one sibling but shitty to another... my friends and I had that problem.... like, when I didn't do a thing wrong and my ass of a kid brother did, and what mum do? Yell at me. It's just stupid. Totally can't wait to move out, then I won't have to deal with it anymore~
And on the topic of spending... I'm the best spender XD I only spend on what I need yes I count Zoids as my need under the radar. My 2nd bro and sis spends their money on clothesclothesclothesclothes, oh and a few useless pieces of equipments lol (and my sister spends it on so much make ups, I guess she really likes being a cake face). Oldest bro? Nooooo idea.
Mp3 players? I only buy replacements when it is needed. Which I do believe I need now.... my K3 is sorta.... malfunctioning D:

I've maxed out my 2000 song limit so my Sansa View is both slow and unable to hold any more firmware updates. I feel so guilty trying to get rid of songs and I'd rather buy the 16gb from Amazon cause it's at half-price right now. Plus I love my Sansa View. It's also sadly beaten up and has the battery life of a since AA battery pretty much.

I have a wide variety of genres, however, most of the taken up space is due to my 12 full .hack soundtracks and my 3 Zoids ones. But I have such a wide taste for music and I randomly change what I like to listen to, I don't have time to delete music just to replace it with something because I'll be able to keep track of it all.

I can't do that... For a few reasons. well, more like for one reason that has multiple explanations. The reason is, I don't want to deviate from the 'joystick' styled MP3 players This was actually my first one. I had to stop using it because it was only so many megabytes and changing it was a hassle and the earphone jack was dying, not to mention the backlight went only weeks after I owned it. (My new one I want to replace because it has a nasty habit of corrupting my songs and making them turn into painful squeals.) I stick with these because they have a display and the USB right on the end, so no extra cords to find. But in sticking with them, I don't ever get playlist options, so if I wanted a certain song, I'd have to hit forwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforward forwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforward forwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforward forwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforwardforward until I find the song I want and that gets TEDIOUS. So I have to cycle through my music or suffer the consequences. On a random note: who else is ready for them to start using USB jacks in cars for MP3 players? I hate getting two new songs I REALLY WANNA LISTEN TO, but don't really want to burn a whole cd for two freaking songs. Then after I give in and do, I find another song the very next day.

lol, I have hardly any music at all ^^;
And what music I do have, I usually just throw it on my cell phone, which has an adapter that plugs the headset into a normal cord, that plugs into a plug on the radio in my mom's car. I just threw a 4gb micro SD card I got off of ebay for 5 dollars into it and it worked ^^;
Unfortunately, I don't know if it supports play lists/if it does I don't know how to set them up. But somehow it plays the songs in a haphazardly random order each time xD So its a guessing game what song will come next XD And don't DARE hit the ff/rw button, or you will never find the song again. XD
...*uses 320mb of space on it* XD;;

So I have to cycle through my music or suffer the consequences. I know the solution! Get a Creative MuVo, they're a little more on the pricey side for USB stick mp3 players, but they're pretty good, long-lasting (I got mine four or five years ago and there's still nothing wrong with it!) AND you can flick through your folders to find the songs you want. But I do agree on the USB cable point. In my room I currently have a micro USB cable, the cable from my old mp3 player, a iPod cable (I don't know why, I've never owned an iPod) and two for my current mp3 player, and all of them, apart from the iPod cable, are black. Edit And all the USB ports on this computer are knackered so I can't even charge/add music to the damn thing! Editedit Also, as far as music goes, I have just under 700 songs on my mp3 player. Here's just a few to show the diversity of my musical tastes... Or something; alternative rock, folk, jazz, metal, rap and hip-hop, rock.
