I'll never trust American teens again. Ever. Some of you might know that I made a couple piggy banks a while ago and they got enough attention that a couple of people wanted their own. I gladly took the commissions and for some reason, I got this kid that didn't have her financials worked out. Now she's asking me if she can send cash in the mail to pay for it... When this whole thing is over, I'm asking how old she is, because she's been terribly immature since this whole thing started.
So from now on, I'm practicing age discrimination on commissions. Cause I'm not dealing with another little girl who has to get money from mommy and daddy to pay for something unless they let me know first.
Sorry, figured this was the only safe place to post this away from DA.

Ew 13 year olds *facepalms* I never really liked dealing with younger kids... lol She reminds of kids in my grocery store who bring in 10 dollars and get 15 dollars worth of stuff and run out of the store to get more money. It's like come on, can you add? On another note about American youth. We had a 15 year-old french girl staying with us for 3 weeks. To tell you the difference between maturity and age in France and America. My sister is 17 and Alice is 15, Alice is more mature than my sister.

Me and my friend has this term "damn teenagers" for good reasons XD I can't stand most teenagers, esp the ones constantly on their stupid phones and think they have to act like every stupid spoiled celebrity they see on VH1.

technically I'm still a teenager, however, I'd like to think I was raised properly enough to not be a spoiled brat. Heck, I see 10 year-olds with their cell-phones and iPod, bossing mom around about getting whatever they want.
When I was growing up, first off, cell phones didn't exist for a while and when they did, I still never got one till I was driving. I never got an allowance, but I had to do many chores. I only made money when I'd pull weeds and even then, it was only 50 per bucket or when my mom would bring home her giant mug of pennies. All my Zoids models, besides my Shadow Fox were bought on clearance.
But, my family's not poor. We live in a decent home but we're not spoiled. I'm not wasting my mom's savings on my college tuition to go to parties every night like my irresponsible roommate did and then flunked out of premed classes. I hope I remember all this if I ever have kids.

Yea same here. Most of my Zoids are generally snatched off ebay at decent prices or grabbed at clearances when I find one. Only bought things when needed, etc.
I can't stand peeps way younger than me having ipod freaking touches, or iphones or any cell phone of any kind. Or even having any expensive pieces of technology. Or even earning way too much pocket money even if they did shit all.
I always paid attention in classes and went to tertiary education, still doing it to get some experiences and skills in several areas of animal/horse care so I can get a job anywhere. Never partied like every other teenagers, never boozed, never smoked, etc. Only go out to parties if it's a B'day party or celebratory party. And drank minimal quantity of alcoholic beverages at these parties.

That's ridiculous. >_< Yea, damn kids and teenagers. Reminds me of a brat I saw yesterday that, in my hyped up sugar craze I was trying not to laugh at, but now that I'm somewhat sane, I want to cry at.
He was crying for some unknown reason, and kept demanding his mom to dry his eyes. *facepalm*
Or the kid that wouldn't wait for me to finish one order before going "I don't want this in a bag. Hey. HEY. HEY YOU!!!" I was about to take the toy, step on it and shove it in a bag and say "Get over yourself, worthless motherfucker."
Or two summers ago, those teenagers that were running around spraying silly string they hadn't purchased and climbing on shelving units. Margie ended up escorting them to the front, making them pay for it and telling them to get out or she was going to call the police.
I think this is all from the generations that didn't like being disciplined, so they don't properly discipline their children and we get these god-awful monsters running amok. >_<

I didn't get a mobile til I was 16, and that was only because I'd started having Grand Mals so I needed it for emergencies.
As for MP3 player, I didn't get one til I was 20 at the youngest, and even then it was a cheap one, that I bought with my own money.

I confess I got my first mobile when I was 12, but I wasn't allowed a new one until it was properly dead and neither of those phones have been fancy, but hey, it's not like I use it very much (has no friends XD)
On the subject of those commissions, I've had a commissioner like that recently. He wants to send the cash to me in the mail, but there are a few problems with that: 1. He lives in America, so he'd be sending me dollars, I can't use dollars 2. He could convert it, but since it's such a small amount he'd be losing more than he was paying me. 3. If he didn't convert it, I'd be losing out.
Bah.

Lessee... I got a walkman from Jasmine when I was ... 13ish I think... But the next one was a cheap one mom bought, that soon died, and I picked out my next one that I bought. And the one after that when I got pissed off it didn't have a rewind button. I also bought my own personal CD player (CDman?) by saving up for two weeks and getting it. Grandma got weepy because I wouldn't let her use it, but that's because she has the power of techno-death in her fingertips and I am protective over the first thing I spent weeks saving up for. The first game thing I had was a handmedown GB Colour from Amber when I was 20. Then a handmedown Playstation (two of them really, she couldn't remember which one couldn't save. Somehow I fixed them...) Then Amber got me a GBASP. Then Amber got me a PS2Slim. Then I got my own Gamecube and only for zoids. *pff* If it weren't for Amber, I probably wouldn't have ANY game consoles right now. XD;
